Resume correction/ need help

I’ve just graduated from university, currently looking for a per-time job I’ve not really had much luck at all with getting a job, so far ive only gotten a response from Apple ( retail assistant ), not confident I got in, but yeah so far this is my resume and I need help on what to change, I’m open for any suggestions,

Furthermore, I would also want advice on a professional Cv with my provided experiences for a full time job, basically for both per time and full time.

Also I’m international so I’d love to get a good job that would be able to sponsor me. I’m on a working process on that and I’m currently going to gain experience from internships and gaining a certification for my industry.

But for now I’d love help on it for a per time as I gain experience for a full time position in the future

P.s this is my indeed CV.

Need to definitely get it down to 1 page, big time

Margins are large so that’s an easy fix, but just tighten it all up then can edit while keeping it to 1 page, especially as a new grad resume is should not be over 1 page. For reference I have 11yr exp in my industry and I still try to keep it to a one-pager

lets start with the professional summary....

Make it more matter of fact.... who are you? what have you done? what do you want to do? why does a company want to hire you? (as in what do they get)

this is a good example for a recent graduate

Honors graduate with a B.A. in Communications and 3 years of nonprofit volunteer experience. Spearheaded outreach campaigns that boosted local donations by 33%. Eager to apply strong coordination and public relations skills to a full-time role.

move your skills to page 1 and make it a two or three columns. It will take up much less space.

You are a recent grad so put that on page 1 so they know your experience is limited. It also shows that you may have worked while you were in school. This shows you are able to do more than one thing at a time.

for your experience line items... they need to be stronger and outcomes based. They need to know why this is relevant to their company.

your current version:
answered day to day customer queries and recommended products.......

a better version:
Answered 300 calls daily and recommended products with a 70% success rate on sales.

That personal details section is taking up valuable space on page 1 and the first 50% of your resumes. If it is not telling the company anything that helps them they do not need to see it.

I have been reading resumes for over 20 years and most people will pass right by your resume. It needs to stand out in a sea of hundreds.

your resume also needs to be ATS ready. This means when you submit it the ATS system reads it and immediately weeds out candidates it feels don't match the job description before a human ever touches it. The keywords from a JD should be in your resume to match and make it to the second round of reviews.

Does this all make sense? Good luck to you!

I would remove the "Personal Details" section. If you're eligible to work in the UK, that will probably be made known otherwise in the application (I would assume, it's like that in the US anyway). Noting the education in that section feels redundant since you list it in more detail later. I would maybe put education up above your work experience, as it highlights some of your most relevant knowledge in industry. It's something you should really be proud of, and should be on the front page to catch the employer's attention.

Also is there some stuff you can trim from here? It looks like it's reaching three pages, which is pretty long. It's okay to remove some work history as time goes on. I think I only have my last three jobs on mine.

One thing I’d change is how you list your skills. Instead of putting 10 soft skills in a list, try connecting the strongest ones to something you actually did. For example, instead of just ‘teamwork,’ you could write ‘Worked with a 5-person team to complete a project before the deadline.’ That gives the recruiter proof of the skill instead of just asking them to take your word for it. I’d also keep only the skills that match the job you’re applying for.

Hi there, yes there are some ting so would change here, especially the format. Dates for your experience should be aligned to the right side. Try to add some numbers as well - how many customer queries did you address per day? Things like that. For the format, I’d recommend checking out the Ivy League templates at [r/modernresumes](r/modernresumes). Those are arguably the best. Good luck!

Congrats on graduating! One thing I would focus on is keeping your resume clean, easy to scan, and tailored to each type of role you're applying for. For a graduate CV, I would also make your education, projects, skills and any internships stand out clearly. Good luck with your job search!

I'm a little confused - you said you graduated but your CV says looking for work around your course schedule. Your education says certification but not BA, BS etc. Did you graduate yet? From where? What was your major and GPA?

Your resume is solely geared to food service and retail - but are you looking for office work? What are your software, admin and office skills?

You mentioned wanting to be sponsored - is that in the food industry or which industry? I'm sorry to be honest with you, but sponsorship usually requires a top tier resume with skills that would contribute to a company, and I'm not seeing that here.

Did your university provide training on writing a CV? Do they offer post graduate resume and job support?

I can offer some more concrete suggestions that might be helpful, but I need some clarification first on your education and what you are pursuing. Thanks and best wishes!
