I get they are challenges with which you can buy things from an alternative shop. However, I am still not sure I entirely understand how they work in terms of scoring/giving souls and what their MAJOR benefits are. Also empathy lowers your score and thus your soul gainage, is that correct?

So I beat the bosses for the first two levels (going by difficulty) and now I am trying to beat the next one in the ice/snow level. But I have some questions on how you guys progress from level to level.

Do you skip the first level for example? I always complete the entire first level and then move on to two or now to three via teleporter. So I completely skip 2. Once I am done with 3 I will do the same with 2 and 3. Does this approach make sense? Especially in regards to maxing gold? If not, do you have any recommendations for a new player?

Got lucky with early relic that made enemies drop food, which let me take almost every max hp upgrade instead of using it for heals, no house rules. Which is better to do next, Thanatwophobia or True Rogue mode? Even on my ng+30 file I'm terrible at dodging Cain Prime's attacks.

I had a really good start with equipment and first 2 bosses, but I struggled a lot with Ponce and Hero, dying a combined total of like ~8 times? At that point I thought it was joever, but I kept going for practice

At the end I only had 3 chances at Johannes, when I died the 15th time with a real good Shinobi, I was so mad and thought it was over, but before resetting I double checked, and realized had one last chance. So I went in with Barbarian King (first character I killed Johannes with), and with a big HP pool, I stomped him with about 150hp to spare

ALSO, I somehow got all achievements BEFORE Somniphobia, IM SO PROUD OF MYSELF, especially since I struggled so much when I first played the game

As shown in the image, I have an armour stat of 478. What is that 70% next to it? Is this how much damage I receive or how much I ignore, when hit?

Also, what does it mean below when it states enemies scale 3.75 units slower? What's a unit?

Just beat the game. I noticed in the enemy parade that it claims I only lost against Irad three times, which I know isn’t true. Is there anything else in his fight which can claim a kill, or otherwise cause it not to attribute the loss to him?

I see there's a teleporter beside the chest, but I don't see another teleporter anywhere else, I'm so confused

I started this game a month ago and have only just finally opened the Golden Doors. How long does it usually take? Also, would love links to lore explanation vids or if someone could summarise it that would be great. From what I've gathered so far, and I might be wrong on many parts, Cain has been using his twin brother to constantly search for the Fruit of Life after Jonah stole it, and Abel has to defeat the Estuaries (who are like a part of Cain I think? Since they ate some of his flesh?) who have become twisted in order to open the gates to the Garden of Eden. I haven't beaten Cain yet, but I've beaten the other Estuaries.

Hi everyone.

I was progressing through the Threads of Fate and meant to move from Thread 2 to Thread 3, but somehow I accidentally jumped all the way to Thread 7.

The difficulty increase is massive and now I'm really struggling to make progress.

Is there any way to lower my current Thread level or revert back to Thread 3? Or am I stuck with Thread 7 unless I start over?

Yes, I have played RL2, but there's something about the original that has had a hold on me since 2013.

So I decided to get back in to the scene for RL1 and I’ve been looking over my most recent attempts but find myself hitting the wall hard.

Any tips or pointers because most of my gold goes towards Health, Armour and Weight up?

For example, I had a piece of equipment that said equipping it would give plus 20 to both HP and mana. When I equipped it it gave 30 HP and only 10 mana.

I went to buy a health upgrade that says it gives a 10 HP bonus but only gives 5.

Not all bad though. The Vampire equipment is supposed to lower your HP by 30 to give you back 2 HP per kill but it only reduces by 15.

The only stats that seem to math properly is Magic, Armor, and Weight.

I don't know if this is just an issue with the Switch version.

Game is getting quite difficult. It does not usually go this way. Often I can't get the right relics before falling below 100% resolve, and I don't have enough hp upgrades to survive enemies hitting for 4-8k each. Every now and then, though...

The rest of the game looks normal, but these two feel so AI. I know that it's most likely not AI considering AI doesn't do good with animation, but I don't know ehy yhry made them so smooth.
