Question Pilot application

Hey all I am a current pilot applicant with the RAF wondering if it's possible to apply in the navy also,

Only issue im seeing is a CBAT fail would result in a 12 month wait and I'm assuming you can't just do a RAF CBAT fail and go straight into a NAVY CBAT?

Any other issues with opening an app with both forces not sure if they conflict etc? Please let me know if you have any info

Hey,
Yeah it’s definitely possible to apply to both branches at the same time, the test score from one branch may be used/ shared across but it also may not be so you would need to redo them ie. The DAA
And as for the CBAT no, no one can do the CBAT more than once per year

The RAF assessments such as CBAT and DAA cannot be transferred to your Royal Navy application as far as I’m aware, I passed my RAF DAA in November 2025 and had to redo it for the navy in may 2026, must admit I was raging

the CBAT can apply to both, however the scores for required roles differ. E.g pilot for navy is 128 and for raf is 112 i believe

It’s all 2 separate applications EXCEPT the CBAT which is tri service once in 12 months allowed
