Hi everyone ! I'm really into History (enjoying Queens 👑) and want to know more about Ekaterina II. I heard that the Russian Tv series was really good, is it true ? Is it fictional ?

If someone knows were to watch it, please share ! Although i need english or french subtitles (french is my natural) i can’t even read Russian (yet 😁)

The termini for Trans Siberian and St. Petersburg are 2 different stations, but they're located next to each other in Komsomolskaya Square, Moscow

Всем привет! Я увлекаюсь историей наполеоновской эпохи и замечаю, что Францию и Россию связывает не просто общая история времён этих войн. Достаточно прочитать «Полковника Шабера» Бальзака и его описание битвы при Прейсиш-Эйлау, чтобы понять, какую огромную жертву принесли обе наши нации.

Меня особенно интересует одна весьма яркая фигура в истории России — Иван Осипович де Витт, сын поляка Юзефа Зефирина де Витта. В моей стране о нём очень мало информации, практически ничего, кроме кратких представлений и описания его военных подвигов.

Подскажите, есть ли в России книги, биографии, подробно описывающие его жизнь, или доступные для ознакомления студенческие исследования / диссертации?

Как мы знаем стоит сказать что кто-то выжил/умер то все сходят сума . Насильно/случайно умер царевич Дмитрий и все начали искать царевича Дмитрия. Умерла дочь Федора Ивановича и во время смуты появился лжепетр . Ну а сейчас двойник путина... Ладно, вернёмся к теме .

Думаю вы поняли что мы верим в легенды и сейчас такой же случай. Мне интересно верите ли вы в то что Александр стал старцем в Сибири.

I think you get the idea: we believe in legends, and this is a similar case. I’m curious if you believe the story that Alexander became a holy hermit in Siberia.

For those who don’t know: according to legend, Alexander I faked his death and became a hermit in Siberia known as Fyodor of Tomsk.

There is some background in the description of the YouTube video however I can't find anything else online. All I know is this is in Chechnya, my guess is Gudermes. Thank you guys!

I am beggining to research various extremists groups from the late 19th century, and was wondering if anyone had an scholarly recommendations on the topic in this area. I'm thinking of focusing on the radical nihilist groups, and those who perpetuated violence.
