Just sitting here. Waiting. Don’t even have a syllabus for 4/5 classes yet. No files, nothing.

So i have 3 roommates and we all live in an apartment. So 4 of us in total, and recently i feel like my 3 roommates have been bonding w out me and they r all closer to each other than they are w me.

So we all moved in and went out together but then things started going downhill. I have been putting in so much effort to become close w them, i do not lock myself in my room, i sit with everyone and talk as much as i can. I try to join in the conversation but they all mostly just talk over me. Even going so far as to blatantly ignore me.

They also recently have been going on errands and not inviting me. It just makes me feel so distant when they all converse and i’m just sitting there awkwardly hoping they would include me in the conversation.

I understand it’s only been a week since move in, however the rest of them have seem to hit it off. How are we supposed to get closer if they don’t give me any opportunities to?

I invite them to do things with me and they say no, but they never invite me to go outside with them or anything.

I should also note that we are very different people, i like going out and staying out late and they prefer to stay in and not go out at all.

This was mainly a vent post, feel free to share similar experiences. Thank you.

I’ve been contemplating transferring dorms to college ave (the honors housing) since right now, I’m in the honors college but have been placed in a different campus. The honors dorms are just so much nicer and it feels so much easier to make friends.

But lowk idk if its worth the hassle or if its even allowed. I do know the honors dorms have empty rooms though. Thoughts?

First day back ,and I noticed the desktops on the third and fifth floor are gone. Does anyone know what happened to them? The Bloomberg terminals are the only thing that I could find.

I was talking about college prices to someone and they don’t believe I’m paying 11k a semester. I don’t know if anyone else is paying anything similar but I’m a in state commuter with my own health insurance and I go to the sebs school, a junior and taking exactly 12 credits. Is this a normal amount? They said I must be out of state but I’m not..

I'm a freshman whos just moving in today off-campus. Online it says welcome week ends on Sept 12 but everyones talking like its already over. Did i miss most opportunities to socialize?

Whether you're a new or returning student, I wish everyone the best of luck for the fall 2026 semester at Rutgers. It's my first semester myself as I am a transfer student. Welcome week was fun and made me so excited to be a part of this great community. Got the privilege of meeting some great people already and I am so excited to meet many more.

Also would calc 135 be too much, I did fairly well in AB calc in highschool

I’m taking intro to discrete structures I this semester with Hamidi, and when looking through RMP I saw a few reviews mentioning that she allows students to skip the final if they’re already in good standing for the class. I just wanted to check here to see if this was accurate, and also hopefully get any advice for taking the class lol. Thanks for your time :)
