Appreciation post

Man, I can’t stress enough how much I love the Rwanda Reddit community; the ideas we share here, the opinions, and the discussions. Lately, I’ve found myself reading people’s opinions on dating, marriage, employment, and even simple questions about our country in general.

I appreciate how respectful and supportive this community is and how people genuinely appreciate ideas from anyone. I’ve quit platforms like Twitter because of how toxic they can become, and I found myself really enjoying this community, as well as reading and following posts on Substack.

I know we are a bunch of strangers, but we are also curious minds eager to understand each other and our society better. Whether you are an expat, traveler or a local man/woman. I appreciate y’all. Keep up the good work! ✌️

While we are here, I hope we can all use our voices to support Rwandan women. I know a lot of people hope this struggle will come to an end and eventually become a thing of the past, but until then, please, let’s support each other as much as we can.

Let’s educate ourselves, especially us men. Let’s listen to and understand what our sisters are telling us. Let’s keep talking about this, raising awareness, sharing posts, and learning more about what women are going through and how we can be part of making things better.

Let’s not let the conversation die down.

You hear so much bad about Reddit, but the /rwanda group is pretty cool. Some interesting threads and helpful opinions. It is nice here.
