Flowers Dark Heart

Post image

Picked up some moonbeam gelato from Dark Heart. So far taste and effects have been amazing it took me back to my younger days. If you are looking for something that you used to medicate with back in the day this is the strain.

Their black and blue is trimmed a lot better. Here’s a picture.

lol don’t get me wrong, I’ll take what I can get, but this one does look better as far as leaves goes. They both look like good strains nonetheless!

Why is it that yall want buds to be heavily trimmed? Just curious because personally I prefer the ones that look a bit more wild and less tightly trimmed.

Personally for me it’s not a big deal. I do know that for the price people do expect it to be trimmed well and I also see that side of things. It all depends on the person.

They calculate the cost of labor into every price. That’s why most of the Utah cannabis companies have started second brands, so they know which flower to allocate more trim hours for. Dragonfly and Betty for example, they spend more money in trim hours for Dragonfly hence why it’s a little more expensive than their Betty flower. For me personally, it’s all about cost. If I’m spending money on an elevated brand, I expect that money to go towards hours for their employees including trim hours. To have this big of a difference within the same brand also makes me wonder what their QC process is like as well.
(Not to mention the very minuscule amount of flower I could be getting in place of these leaves lol)

I’m not tryna be an ass but… unless you are a wholesaler no shit labor is factored into the cost 😂 I was more so wondering why people care so much about it being super tightly trimmed. I know there isn’t much content to em but sugar leaves still have a small bit of canabinoids to em so why trash em?

I'm absolutely loving the Blackended Blue by Dark Heart. Great sativa strain for the daytime

appreciate the kind words, OP! glad to hear this strain brought back some good memories for you!

A little insight on our trim: every batch at Dark Heart is hand-trimmed, and we make a point of leaving a bit of extra leaf on the bud on purpose. Those sugar leaves help shield all that resin, which means fresher, richer, more flavorful flower when you spark it. It might look a little less polished than a super tight trim, but that "extra" is trichome preservation, not a rushed job. Totally understand if a tighter trim is more your style aesthetically, but we're confident it smokes like a dream 💨

No problem the flower was fire 🔥🔥🔥. I also appreciate you giving us the details on the reason why you still leave some leaves on the plant. Always great to hear from the growers.
