When people say they want lrp, what does that actually mean?
What does lrp mean to you in your own words?

Low role play, you pretty much do not talk or interact with others.

like you mean in that they dont have to interact with people they want to kill as antag goals, or do you mean they just focus on their job and just chill. cause theres plenty of servers where you can just sit in gene and do your minigame

Mmhmm they basically want no admins and no rules which is funny cause we had those servers on ss13 at one point and now their pretty much all gone
I guess the brightest candle burns half as long or its a vocal minority that actually wont turn up for this stuff at all like they say they will
Cause we would have a hugely popular one otherwise.
They also dont want to be the one to host and maintain it, cause that means they cant be the murder hobo and instead half to ghost and observer a lot

You play your role exclusively and try to have a fun and interesting match. Your role-playing is more about the match itself and not character development. You aren't shitting up comms with unfunny shit unless it relates to the round. It isn't an excuse to be a douchebag, ruining the round for antagonists, or just murder boning people. It's a fine line, but it's way more fun and always seemed like the way to actually play the game.

You are super wrong, that sounds way more like MRP for me bro. LRP 100% has shit ass coms with the unfunniest jokes known to mankind being made. People breaking into other areas and stealing eachothers shit. Douchebags running wild absolutly murderboning or validhunting. Thats what 90% of LRP I have seen over the years playing this game.

I'm afraid that ever since *poo and *piss was removed from Goon, that this game is not even close to that style anymore. I am showing my age. But it also may be why those gimmicks don't have as much charm as they used to.

It literally just means not roleplaying or barely roleplaying. Think people actually playing a video game, openness about saying things like "middle mouse click" and "right mouse button" out loud in /say.
