So I just got some assault terminators and I’m going to magnetise them but I really want to paint the lighting claws like the ones in the picture as best I can but I don’t know how to do so, so if you’d have any paint recipes that would be great šŸ™ plus I would also love to see your assault terminators for inspiration

Been painting for a little while now, but funnily enough I’ve never tried out contrast paints for my sallies. Honestly this quick test Intercessors came out pretty alright all things considered.

Salamanders are already heavily represented in the lore for 11th so seeing them in the promo feels noteworthy. Are we feeling good about a potential new model this edition brothers?

Discussion/Question Black Templar emperors champion one shots all my characters

Vulkan and adrax and my librarian have all bitten the dust on my previous games due to my buddies EC. It’s the only character that kills my characters, not even his helbrect kills them How do I prevent this from happening or how do I manage to kill the EC before he gets to my characters units.

My friend is giving me a his old model and he’s not a very good painter ( I don’t judge ) but I need to strip the paint because I’m a very meticulous person about painting.

Discussion/Question How do you transport your army?

• Upvotes

New to the hobby and after 4 months I’m 4 models away from 1000pts and looking to start actually playing.
I’m at the point where I’m looking into getting a carrying case for my bois but was wondering what you all use.
I was thinking the mag trey type cases but all my units are on cork bases (ya know cuz of the liquid hot magma look) and I want to eliminate the pulling and snapping motion to cut down the chance of my mini ripping off the cork so I’m leaning towards more traditional foam insert hard cases.
Please let me know what you guys use and any thoughts on this. Also pics are most welcome, to see how you store them/organize them etc, etc.
thanks!

Discussion/Question 1000 & 2000 point list

• Upvotes

Hey everyone, looking for some feedback and C&C on my Forgefather’s Seekers list as I build toward a solid 1,000-point roster and eventually scale up to 2,000 points. Right now, the physical models I own are Vulkan He’stan, a Captain in Terminator Armour, Company Heroes, 10 Infernus Marines, and 6 Eradicators.

I know the standard Space Marine Rhino can't carry Tacticus or Gravis armor in 10th Edition, so I'm trying to figure out the most cost-effective transport solution to get Vulkan, my Infernus squad, and my Eradicators safely up the board. I'd love to know whether a Repulsor or a Land Raider Redeemer makes the most sense as a first purchase.

Beyond transports, what should my absolute highest-priority buys be to get this core set to a competitive 1,000-point list? Any advice on how to efficiently scale up to 2,000 points without buying unnecessary kits—as well as tips on optimal squad sizes, character attachments, and detachment stratagems—would be massively appreciated!

Space Marines

Salamanders

Forgefather’s Seekers (2 Detachment Points)

Priority Assets

Strike Force (2000 points

Captain in Terminator Armour (85 points)

Vulkan He’stan (95 points)

• Warlord

Rhino (65 points)

Company Heroes (105 points)

Eradicator Squad (90 points)

Infernus Squad (180 points)

Land Speeder (105 points)

Vindicator (185 points)

Asking for feedback Is my Beginner Army List good or does it need improvement?

Hey fellow Salamanders enjoyers!

I've been wanting to get into Warhammer all year but since all my money is being drained by University I needed to wait until my birthday. Now that it's only two weeks from now I've started to map out an army that I think would be a good start to work on.

Some questions first:

  1. Do I have to buy from GW or are other retailers also okay? (I live in Germany, if there are any specific shops here that are good as well)

  2. What Colors should I use?

  3. What are some essential tools I need to buy?

  4. What would be some good units to start with? I can't afford buying the entire army. (I plan to split it into 3 larger purchases)

I don't really have anyone in my friendgroup that actually knows how the tabletop works (except for like one guy that hasn't played since the start of 10th edition), so now I turn to Reddit to find feedback on my 1000 point beginner army.

Please note that I have absolutely 0 idea of 11th edition so far and built this army mostly on what I think is cool and my lackluster knowledge of the game.

Here's my list so far (I used WarOrgan to build it):

Vulkan He'stan (Warlord, leading the Infernus Marines)

Adrax Agatone (Leading the 5 Assault Intecessors)

6 Aggressors

3 Eradicators

10 Infernus Marines

5 Assault Intercessors

5 Intercessors

5 Scouts

1 Ballistus Dreadnought (mostly because I think they're sick)

Total: 975 points (should I max out to 1000 points?)

If you have any tips, advice, good ideas what to add or anything really, I would enjoy hearing from you either under this post or via dm. Literally any advice helps :)

I look forward to hearing from you guys and joining you in this beautiful hobby.

VULKAN LIVES!

Discussion/Question Strategy Discussion - Actioning with our Detachments

Hello Everyone,

I was hoping to ask what units you use to do actions when using one of our detachments?

I am sure everyone would have different strategies, and it would an interesting glimpse into everyone's list-building! We definitely have some distinct, good options.

For example, with Forgefather's Seekers / Priority Assets, I use 2 units of 5 scouts, 1 unit of five jump pack intercessors, 1 unit of 5 regular intercessors and 1 unit of 10 infernus marines.

Hobby Progress Went 2-3 in my first ever tournament (UKTC) with my Salamanders

Post image
161 Upvotes

(Wish I took more pictures tbh but enjoy this pic of Game 3 which was my first win)

Game 1: 60 - 88 against Blood angels

Game 2: 73 - 97 against Votan

Game 3: 93 - 46 against Necrons

Game 4: 92 - 79 against Tyranids

Game 5: 45 - 100 against Custodes

This was my first ever tournament and I had so much fun. Nearly won Game 1 but rolled triple ones three times on some important units which swung the game.

It was a great experience and everyone was really nice.
