Academic I need some answers to help me write my dissertation and create a brand identity design for a video game. 'Visual Identity in Video Game'. The main target group is gamers; the focus group consists of those who do not consider themselves gamers. Thank you for your time. (Everyone)

This short survey explores how people perceive the visual identity of video games. It aims to understand which visual elements (such as logos, colours, characters and overall style) make a game feel recognisable, communicate its genre and atmosphere, and leave a strong first impression. Your responses will help identify how gamers and non‑gamers interpret visual branding differently.

Casual Travel Planning Habits & Experiences ( For Anyone who has ever planned a trip independently)

Hi everyone!

I'm doing a research to understand how people plan trips independently, particularly how they research destinations, compare options, and make their final decisions.

This is for a personal UX research project. I'm trying to understand people's existing behaviours and frustrations before designing anything.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes and is completely anonymous.

Survey: https://forms.gle/gr2kMdsMMiGjEi6E9

I'm particularly interested in hearing from people who have planned at least one trip themselves rather than relying entirely on a pre-made travel package.

Thank you for taking the time to help! Your responses will genuinely help me understand how people approach travel planning.

Academic Survey on the Psychological Factors of Doping in Strength Sports – 5 min for a school research project! (18+, gym-goer)

Hi everyone,

I’m a student at Klenze-Gymnasium Munich (Germany) currently working on my senior research project titled "Why do athletes dope? Psychological factors as an explanatory approach."

I am investigating which psychological factors (e.g., performance pressure, social/peer pressure, moral disengagement/self-justification, athletic identity) are linked to the propensity toward doping in strength sports.

If you have been regularly strength training for at least 1 year and are 18 years of age or older, I would greatly appreciate 5–10 minutes of your time:

A few key points:

  • Completely Anonymous: No names, email addresses, or personal identifying data are collected.
  • Voluntary Participation: You can exit the survey at any time.
  • Broad Focus: This is not about whether you personally dope, but rather about general attitudes, perceptions, and experiences in strength sports.
  • Academic Use: The data will be used exclusively for my high school research project.

Thank you so much for your participation and for sharing this post! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Casual Career choices & career change survey – UK, 18+ (3–5 mins)

Hi everyone,

I'm carrying out some independent research into how people choose careers, how satisfied they are with their current career, and how people discover other career paths they may be suited to.

I'm particularly interested in whether people feel they fully understand their own strengths and transferable abilities, and whether there are potentially careers out there that they'd be great at but have simply never considered.

The survey is anonymous, takes around 3–5 minutes, and is open to anyone aged 18+ in the UK, whether you're happy in your current career, considering a change, studying, unemployed or anything in between.

Meta Discussion Looking for people to test my new digital closet app + give honest feedback (18+, US)

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m the creator of Material Merge, a new app that helps you organize and keep track of your clothes digitally.

I’m getting ready to share the app more widely and I’m looking for people who have never used Material Merge before to test it and give me completely honest feedback.

The app lets you:

  • 📸 Add clothing items and have AI identify them
  • 🔎 Search and organize your closet
  • 📍 Keep track of where your items are
  • 🧺 Track laundry
  • 🤝 Keep track of items you've lent out
  • 👗 Create outfits
  • 👯 Share your closet

What I'm asking

If you're interested, please:

  1. Download Material Merge from the App Store
  2. Spend about 10–15 minutes exploring the app
  3. Try out the different features and navigate through it on your own
  4. Complete this short survey afterward with your honest feedback

App:Material Merge App

Feedback survey: Material Merge Survey

You don't need to be a fashion expert or someone who already uses closet apps. In fact, I'd especially appreciate feedback from people who have never used a digital closet app before.

Please be honest — if something is confusing, annoying, unnecessary, or doesn't work the way you expected, I genuinely want to know. I'm using this feedback to make improvements before promoting the app more widely.

Thank you so much to anyone who takes the time to test it! ❤️

Academic [Academic] Survey on how people plan their trips (for my university thesis) — ~3 min (18+)

Hi everyone! I'm an undergraduate student finishing my final project (similar to a thesis) in Information Systems, and I'm building a system to help people plan travel itineraries in advance (budgeting, place suggestions, local business reviews, etc.).

Note: the survey is in Portuguese, but your browser or Google Forms can translate it automatically.

To validate the idea, I put together a short survey (about 3-5 minutes) about how you currently plan your trips and what's missing from the tools out there today.

You don't need to be a frequent traveler — any experience helps!

Happy to share the aggregated results here once I have enough responses. Thanks so much in advance to anyone who fills it out!

Academic [Academic] What qualifies someone as a "Gamer"? Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate - any gender, sex, age, race, ethnic/country background, "Gamer" status - everybody. (5 minutes, multiple choice, anonymous)

Hi all - I'm a PhD researcher in Psychology at the University of Roehampton in London, running a study on gaming and mental health. You may have seen my previous post, which we ended up getting over 200 responses to! Before the main study, I'm trying to answer the question: what qualifies someone as a Gamer or a Non-Gamer?

Is it hours played? Genre? Does someone who plays Wordle every day count? What about someone who only plays Animal Crossing? Where do you draw the line?

Rather than using my personal opinion, I want to hear from people directly - whatever your relationship with gaming is. This survey is for everyone, not just Gamers:

  • Lifelong or competitive gamers
  • Casual or occasional players
  • People who don't play video games at all

Your answers will directly shape how the term "Gamer" gets defined and measured in the next phase of my research.

Details:

Happy to answer any questions in the comments, and I'll share aggregate results with anyone interested once data collection wraps up. Thank you for reading, and thank you in advance for your participation!
