The bullies and buzzkill's were out last week and I got my feeling hurt. Feel like I'm a bit too old and tired to deal with reddit 14yo's and their unsolicited creative direction. However maybe they have a point, is the format is getting tired, maybe it's time to move on and do something different, whats happening at r/burgers??? Lol. I'm pretty nifty at embroidery?? Collecting mugs and VHS??? I'm sure I could learn a tiktok dance or some shit?? One man Black Sabbath accapellas? Drunken cookery for beginners? Some sultry Nigella Lawson flinger licking action?? What if we all made a sandwich at the same time or compared our work lunches and had a mega chat about it??
I dunno
So, what do you guys think? Is there a way I can mix up the content and still get it to all you lovely people and read all your lovely comments without getting my old man fragile feelings hurt? (They are as fragile as my knees)

Beef tenderloin, horseradish mayo, caramelized onions, blue cheese, marinated sprouts, French bread. 10/10 will make again. Anyone got any recommendations if I make it again?

Here we have my latest installment of “sick kid sandwiches” - where I craft a delicious sandwich while staying home with one of my eternally ill children (aged 2 and 4, iykyk).
Today I have for you a classic turkey, bacon, cheddar. Focusing on local ingredients as always.
- local sourdough, toasted
- local (but big name. McKenzie) peppered turkey
- local (but big name, Cabot) sharp cheddar
- local (basically doesn’t have a name) thick cut bacon
- tomatoes out of my garden (high mowing seed company Mountain Princess tomato - absolutely delicious tender, sweet, medium tomatoes. Highly recommend this variety if you’re in a colder area like me. Just eat them as SOON as they are ripe and don’t ripen on the vine!) salted and peppered of course
- lettuce (won’t lie to you guys, not home grown this time, store bought spring mix that I picked the crisper bits out of - NOT Taylor farms)
- dukes mayo (haven’t found a local mayo yet….)
Absolutely delicious. 9.3/10. Bread was a bit crisp and cut my mouth a bit but totally worth it. Next time I might try this with my maple mustard instead of or in addition to the mayo. Just feel like it could use an extra somethin.

I tried something new. Mayo on the top layer as usual, but I used burrata filling on the bottom layer next to the tomatoes. It was excellent, but I can't say it was better than all mayo. Perfect Cherokee Purple tomatoes.

My first sandwich :3
Sandwich: Ciabatta, arugula, mozzarella squares, pickled jalapenos, sundried tomato and a shitload of spicy salami
Salad: Rocket, walnuts, cheddar cubes, olives and sundried tomato drizzled in honey mustard sauce
It's actually fairly simple to make, dm/comment for instructions!

This bread is the best bread I have ever had a sandwich on. It smells super good it's almost like pizza dough.
