I'm a seasoned thrifter - I like to shop at ReStore because I like Habitat for Humanity.
When we moved to Sarnia 6 years ago, the pricing tended to be pretty good. If you were willing to compromise on cleanliness, trend, or quality, you could usually find a good deal.
Lately, though? The pricing is unreal. $245 for a cabinet from the 80's - maybe early 90's. They didn't even clean it to list it at that price. $90 for a dirty and marked up bookcase. These are items you'd be lucky to move at a garage sale for $15.
I understand charging a high rate for the overstock items they have like the Blanco taps etc, but the rest of it is dirty, scratched, and most of the time, smelly, and they're trying to charge antique store prices.
Make it make sense.
