WIP Enterprise NCC-1701-D
Got the trenches dug. A little light blocking, 2 coats of black and one coat of silver on the inside. One coat of black on the outside. Grey primer comes tomorrow followed by base coat. Add a little blue to some of the windows, I may add a little yellow tint to a few as well.

I'm not much of a painter, and have never attempted painting anything bigger than a D&D-sized miniature. Can I assume that you're painting the inside silver so the lighting reflects more, to illuminate more windows?

If you watch Generations or Picard, not all the lights were just all white. Some had a blueish hue and some had a little yellowish tint to them. Upgraded from the episodes of TNG. I'm not necessarily going for exact accuracy. My talent and budget with this being the first model in 30 years will not permit an exact replica. However, there are some things that I feel I can bring to the model from the movies.

May I ask what you're using for blue tint? I want to shadowbox an old pinball machine score panel and the blue tint has worn from a couple of the transparent score windows and I'd like to refurb it before mounting. Thanks in advance!
