This song was in the Travis Rice snowboard movie masterpiece That’s it, That’s All back in like 2008. Immediately loved it and learned it on drums, but I could never get into their other tracks really. Thank you for posting, great memories!

I saw them at bumbershoot around 97-98? Himsa also played, it was in the fisher pavilion. Cool to see they are still kicking around.

I looked it up, Motörhead played in 2000, and it looks like Murder City Devils played too. I was about 13, it was definitely life changing seeing Motörhead for the first time at that age.

Was that when Spencer Moody had lost his voice and had kids from the crowd come up and sing for him? - Probably not; even though it was around the same time, it was outside and I don't think it was Bumbershoot.

Thanks! It's a great memory. I loved going to those Devils shows back in the day. Saw them 16 times during their original run.
It was across from the Armory, facing the fountain. Botch played too. Amazing times.

They were wearing sailor suits IIRC during the first show I saw. It was halloween though. I don't know I think business casual is still on theme for them.

If you're currently involved with local music I'm sure it's annoying to see boomered-out early-millennials talking about Seattle bands that haven't been relevant for 20+ years, but let me assure you:
1) You will do the same in a couple decades: nostalgia is fun when you go to bed at 9:30 and everything hurts.
2) Nobody is trying to undercut the now bands that you care about.

I loved this band in high school but on contemporary review I think they have a huge spread between the quality of the good songs and the bad songs, and that makes a whole album a little jarring to try to listen all the way through now.
Good songs are pretty good though!
