He probably had fun building it. Once you get going on a project like that it's a little engrossing. None of the materials were terribly expensive either.

1

u/RodCherokee Dec 13 '25

Yes,It’s never finished.

1

u/Woofle_124 Dec 09 '25

Real em dash in the wild, or AI?

1

u/PrismaticSpire Dec 09 '25

Em dash is kinda default at least on iPhone keyboard — if you type two dashes it auto corrects to it. I find it funny cuz I always use em dashes but I didn’t even know what they were called until this AI debacle. 😂

1

u/Woofle_124 Dec 09 '25

——— lmao whats this long ass one 😭

2

u/Proper-Equivalent300 Dec 09 '25

— one that puts mine to shame 😩

2

u/Woofle_124 Dec 09 '25

Nah bro, that one is big too

1

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

It’s not the size of the em dash that matters, it’s how you use it.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 12 '25

Bot comment. Its a pretty vague comment that derives its context from the title alone

1

u/SudsierBoar Dec 12 '25

The reply it gives later seals the deal

19

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

She’s gonna live in this tiny house the rest of her life with the parents close by….kids can’t afford their own homes. He just started way early, lol.

15

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth Dec 09 '25

That little girl is daddy's princess. What a lucky girl, what a terrific father! As she gets older, her father will be the yardstick by which she measures guys! Most will never measure up!

8

u/Popular-Brilliant349 Dec 09 '25

So those are what those tools are made for. But honestly this is awesome. Core memories made!

2

u/Ok-Tart-5895 Dec 09 '25

It’s super great!

3

u/MyNameCannotBeSpoken Dec 09 '25

Emerson does not pay a living wage to her staff.

2

u/MissingBothCufflinks Dec 12 '25

Poor girl couldnt even afford a real name

1

u/crospingtonfrotz Dec 13 '25

Emerson is a real name

1

u/MissingBothCufflinks Dec 13 '25

For a girl? Sure in the clownworld of US suburbia.

2

u/pitmyshants69 Dec 09 '25

The heavy rock music choice at the beginning nicely offset the cute lil playhouse he was building ❤️

2

u/DickWangDuck Dec 09 '25

This sub keeps showing up on my feed, finally something actually dope.

2

u/Bluntbutnotonpurpose Dec 09 '25

I was slightly confused to find out girls are called Emerson as well. To be fair, my only frame of reference is Emerson Fittipaldi. Well, Keith Emerson as well, but that's different...

2

u/thirtyone-charlie Dec 09 '25

A year later all the kid wants is an iPhone

2

u/tevelee Dec 13 '25

Paper walls

2

u/average_fen_enjoyer Dec 17 '25

Mf invented a room

1

u/Stamper4691 Dec 09 '25

Amazing work sir!!! She’ll love that for sure!! 👍

2

u/Forgotten-Caliburn Dec 09 '25

I mean, the video literally shows the girl loving it lol

1

u/Worried_Shoe_2747 Dec 09 '25

Thats a paid actor

1

u/JonyPro Dec 09 '25

Spray painting on the floor barefoot is wild lol

1

u/peperonipyza Dec 09 '25

Cool, but like. Kids are like cats, they’re just as happy with a cardboard box.

1

u/Gomdori333 Dec 09 '25

Am I the only one who expected this to be Krusty Krab?

1

u/DishRelative5853 Dec 09 '25

So, there's a room behind the door/other side of that wall. What's on this side? Is the little bistro set just in the hallway or somewhere? I'd like to see how this fits into their main living space.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Amazing 🤩

1

u/Isaacnoah86 Dec 09 '25

And I still have to finish up the molding for my patio door .......for a year !!!!!!!

1

u/The-Grubermeister Dec 09 '25

Here comes child #2

1

u/liledlover Dec 09 '25

My son was also born in 2021 he did not get so lucky

1

u/[deleted] Dec 10 '25

I’d build one of these every week for the rest of my life just to have my daughter be that age again and get to go to her “diner” for some plastic food subpar customer service.

1

u/PretendCake8222 Dec 10 '25

That awesome!

1

u/Maleficent-Ask8450 Dec 10 '25

Dad you’re 100 percent awesome! Happy to see your daughter smile 🥰

1

u/Tingettley Dec 10 '25

Step 1: Have loads of cash

Step 2: Own a house (because F your deposit if you're renting)

Step 3: ????

Step 4: Happy daughter.

1

u/Toastburrito Dec 10 '25

I'm a 39-year-old dude and I want one.

1

u/Flimsy_Reality1472 Dec 10 '25

Must be nice to have a father 💖

1

u/Angel_0f_Darkness Dec 10 '25

I want that for myself. shit

1

u/TheJarIsADoorAgain Dec 10 '25

$4000 per month in Vancouver

1

u/MissChonkyWonky Dec 10 '25

my dad ran away ( ゚ー゚)

1

u/AffectionatePlace719 Dec 10 '25

I'm 23 and I'd love this lol

1

u/MeAndNotU Dec 10 '25

It always looks so easy in the videos.

1

u/browsingandlooking4 Dec 10 '25

Well that definitely devalued the home.. I not thinking the resale was positively impacted by this..

1

u/Fallen_Anghellic150 Dec 10 '25

Get her a mailbox and put words of affirmation in it. ☺️

Not in sunday's. Mail don't run on Sunday

1

u/Amazing-Ad-1600 Dec 10 '25

The apartment that I live in Europe has all concrete interior walls so this would be impossible.

1

u/dangerousperson123 Dec 10 '25

Homie can’t cut a straight line to save his life

1

u/PaceNo3577 Dec 11 '25

Wow thats such a great dad!

1

u/Darkkonz Dec 11 '25

I'm pretty sure the door will open/close automatically. Seen this plenty of times already.

1

u/General_Ad9178 Dec 11 '25

Dad is the Dad

1

u/Nevernonethewiser Dec 11 '25

"Surprising"?

So she was out of the house for the days this large construction project took?

1

u/iAdjunct Dec 12 '25

It literally started with him fake-using a circular saw on a door that was attached to the frame still; this is not dad of the year material.

1

u/Apprehensive_Tip9356 Dec 12 '25

And that day a new Karen was created.

1

u/Joemoedude-52 Dec 12 '25

And another spoiled brat in process.

1

u/CyclopsDemonGal Dec 12 '25

You really can't just be happy that a dad cares enough about his daughter to wanna make her bedroom feel more fun, can you?

1

u/Joemoedude-52 Dec 12 '25

Are you an expert on my inner feelings?

1

u/CyclopsDemonGal Dec 12 '25

Well calling her a spoiled brat to be sure as hell makes it obvious!

1

u/Joemoedude-52 Dec 12 '25

I'm sensing some overconfidence in your assumption

1

u/pdzbw Dec 12 '25

Y'all don't need to hide this from my wife, y'all need to help my wife to not giving it a shot cuz I'll fuck up the entire door before the hole is even cut out...

Man I wanna be his apprentice

1

u/scarabic Dec 12 '25

It's very cool. But "dad of the year" goes to the guy who spent all those hours with his kids instead of his tools. He may not have a cool instagram project to show at the end, but his kids will have appreciated that time with him.

1

u/Large_Tough_2726 Dec 12 '25

He might have just saved that girls life 👏

1

u/MeepCreep2 Dec 13 '25

Those wood houses...

1

u/Nntropy Dec 13 '25

Why did he cut the door in half? She fit through the doorway opening just fine before he cut it. It's not like she can open the top half and see or speak through it.

1

u/No-Window-6771 Dec 13 '25

Good luck trying that in a European house.

1

u/Dramatic_Ad2574 Dec 13 '25

Sooo...when do you tell her first and last month's required up front

1

u/Kobold_Warchanter Dec 14 '25

I wish I had ever felt an ounce of joy that girl had. Total emotional flood. Core memory, kid. Keep that candle lit.

1

u/richardtbrown Dec 09 '25

Diwhy

2

u/daninet Dec 09 '25

?? For his daughter.

1

u/shaheenery Dec 09 '25

Very sweet, but...is her favorite color black or something?

1

u/aws_137 Dec 13 '25

Black could be more timeless. She won't grow out of it until she hits 12 or 13.

1

u/shaheenery Dec 15 '25

A very good point, I hadn't thought of that. Although, this DOES seem like a dad who would be thrilled if his daughter asked for some renovations. 🥰

1

You know, I wasn't going to say anything, but now that you mention it.

Did hubby ask her to wear that, d'ya suppose?

1

u/B2Rocketfan77 Dec 09 '25

I was only admiring Daddy. Was there a Mommy? LOL. /s

Is that supposed to impressive

1

u/senn42000 Dec 10 '25

Wow so edgy

-3

u/Worried_Shoe_2747 Dec 09 '25

She will out grow it in 5 years. Then what?

13

u/agangofoldwomen Dec 09 '25

She’ll sit in there sometimes and read and hopefully remember how loved she is by her parents. Or she’ll smoke weed in there idfk.

It’s one thing to accept your kids are gonna have sex, it’s another to fantasize about them losing their virginity

2

Yea I hope this dude doesn't have kids!

Did you even read the comment that was being responded to? “…giving handies to her pimple faced boyfriends. Her dad absolutely knows that too. At some point of that process he had to think ‘she’s gonna lose her virginity right here, better bevel these rough edges.’ Dad has also banged the mom in there multiple times.”

Fucking weirdos on this site

I just want to know why you fuckers are talking about this little girls future sexual partners.

Fucking weird and gross

[deleted]

1

u/marsbars2345 Dec 09 '25

This video is about a dad making a fun little space for his very young daughter. Don't see the point in making it so sexual for no reason. "What's wrong with planning for the future?" dumbass question. It's creepy, anyone with a semblance of social awareness knows it's odd to bring that up.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

1

u/LogicalPsychosis Dec 09 '25

It's so unfunny that it didn't sound like a joke.

Weirdos really like to say the most unfunny, outlandish shit and then pretend that they were "just joking" when facing criticism.

Naw man...

Naw

1

u/CoffeeChocolateBoth Dec 09 '25

We're talking about a little girl here. LORD!

3

u/ThrowingPokeballs Dec 09 '25

What. The. Fuck.

She’s like 3 dude, how tf does this come to mind??

1

u/agangofoldwomen Dec 09 '25

Yeah… I hated this comment when I saw the reply to me…

2

u/tipying_mistakes Dec 09 '25

welp, this was all I needed

2

u/harry_fifteen_ones Dec 09 '25

Seek help please.

1

u/shartmaister Dec 09 '25

There's a window. She's one freaky teen if she's not bothered by that.

5

u/KorolEz Dec 09 '25

5 years is plenty of time. Dad seems handy. Surely it wouldn't be too big of an issue to remove the house 5 years later, or maybe they will have a 2nd child that can use it

2

u/MissingVanSushi Dec 09 '25

Or maybe an AirBnB!

3

u/txdv Dec 09 '25

shell have some core memories and they can convert it back in a day or so

2

u/rci22 Dec 09 '25

Ngl I was just thinking if I owned this house and my dad made this for me when I was little then I’d still make it my cozy nook into adulthood

I’d make it grow up with me, even if it were a small enough space that I’d have to duck into it

2

u/Chigao_Ted Dec 09 '25

With today’s house prices? She’s moving in

1

u/AccurateContest4023 Dec 09 '25

Was going to say, this goes for $2000/month in some cities.

1

u/Chigao_Ted Dec 09 '25

I’ve seen smaller for 3k

1

u/Reasonable-Table5301 Dec 09 '25

Could convert it to a closet or smth

1

u/Terrik1337 Dec 09 '25

No she won't. That becomes a reading nook when she starts to read. A place to play video games and stream. A place to play make believe with friends. A place to hide with boys. It will grow with her interests, but I doubt she'll grow out of it till she leaves for college. And when she comes to visit? She will do her homework in there.

1

u/GaryOster Dec 09 '25

The moment to live for is now not 5 years from now. 5 years from now read this again.

1

u/HydroPCanadaDude Dec 09 '25

Did you not see the video? He's pretty good with wood. You don't think he can repair of update the structure effectively?

1

u/JVSTITIA Dec 09 '25

It can easily be transformed into a cat house!

1

u/Worried_Shoe_2747 Dec 09 '25

What happens when the cat dies?!

1

u/JVSTITIA Dec 09 '25

Cats! More cats!! 😹😹😹

1

u/CrazyGunnerr Dec 09 '25

Tell me you don't have kids, without telling me you don't have kids...

Pretty much nothing, especially at that age, won't be outgrown in 5 years.

1

u/Special_Fix_4393 Dec 09 '25

So fucking negative. This is an awesome job by the guy. Life is about living now in the moment

1

u/Worried_Shoe_2747 Dec 09 '25

I was just asking a question. Geez 🤷‍♂️

1

u/FlashOfTheBlade77 Dec 09 '25

Same thought. All I got out of this video is the reduction in the selling value of the house.

1

u/Grumdord Dec 09 '25

Reminds me of when those home makeover shows would decorate a kid's room with like dinosaurs and superheroes and shit

The kid would be like 14.

1

u/Joemoedude-52 Dec 12 '25

Don't worry, entitlement takes years to grow inside this little girl. There will be so much more daddy will do to make sure she understands that the world will give her everything.

-1

u/rizzatouiIIe Dec 09 '25

He cut it crooked

-1

u/blursedJefreyEpstein Dec 09 '25

When she is 23, she will only date men 6,5ft with 7 figures income and who is willing to treat her like a Princess and take her on 3 yearly cruises and only eat at fancy restaurants. She will not work and only use his cards. She will demand spending days treating herself. If she will date other men also, she will be allowed to, but he wont be allowed to even watch in a direction to other women.

3

u/RealBettyWhite69 Dec 09 '25

If a man uses money and status to attract a woman, he can't be mad when the woman he attracts cares about money and status. If he is a good person and focuses on that, he can attract people who care about good qualities. Stop blaming females, especially 3 year old ones.

2

u/Key_Flatworm3502 Dec 09 '25

Who hurt you

2

u/[deleted] Dec 09 '25

Dude saw this video of a little girl having something nice being done for her and immediately thought forward to: "I wonder what it would be like to date her later in life." Jfc, dude got traumatized for sure.

1

u/Time_Effort Dec 09 '25

Nobody, dude just thinks binge watching Andrew Tate is the only hobby he needs

1

u/LogicalPsychosis Dec 09 '25

He's a rage baiter or a bot. Account is 17 days old and history is hidden

-1

u/blursedJefreyEpstein Dec 09 '25

I'm not wrong, am I?

1

u/DishRelative5853 Dec 09 '25

Wrong on so many levels and in so many ways.

1

u/Horror-Wallaby-4498 Dec 09 '25

How can you watch a video of a literal child having one of the happiest days of their life and come up with this dismal shit. Username checks out

-1

u/blursedJefreyEpstein Dec 09 '25

Oh no, please don't hurt me daddy.

1

u/B2Rocketfan77 Dec 09 '25

This video, and your reaction to it, is the sign you should never try and have children.

1

u/blursedJefreyEpstein Dec 09 '25

Ooohhhh💀

1

u/B2Rocketfan77 Dec 12 '25

I know. It was sad. I was actually curious what made you so unhappy with the construct of a loving father doing something nice for his child. I didn’t figure you’d want to interact with that.

1

u/ThrowingPokeballs Dec 09 '25

This is some red pilled assumptions my friend. Maybe it’s time to take a break from social media? You seem to revolve around being edgy and living within memes

1

u/apotheosis55 Dec 09 '25

The comment would have to be based on reality to be considered red-pilled.
