I love the history of Sierra Leone. Growing up, I knew the children of refugees from the civil war, and heard terrible things on the news. But they would always talk very positively of their home - and I always thought I would like to visit.

As an adult i was amazed to find the story of the founding of Seirra Leone and the ways the different groups worked withthe british to liberate and rehome people who had been enslaved.

What are we getting right/wrong with the way we are telling the story?
