what did i do to here why does she not like me?

I just beat Lost Lace, and I’m needing to get the rest of the memory lockets for 100%. As I’m doing this, I’m wondering, what are the chances Team Cherry makes SoS different between acts? I obviously understand why this was the case for the main game, but what if they do that for the DLC, too? I feel like that could ruin it for a lot of people, since the game changes on a really big scale after Act 2. Hollow Knight didn’t have this problem, since no matter where you were, the game was generally the same, save for the crossroads. I think the issue at hand that I’m thinking of is they either change it between acts 2 and 3, which makes a huge chunk of players miss content due to already being in act 3, or they disconnect it from the main story in some way, which has the issue of… being disconnected from the main story.

I've been getting stumped by over and over again in act 2, and i just hate it that i can't seem to play any other mode other than SteelSoul. Anyone get this feeling?

The title says it all. I climbed Mount Fay in Act 1 by going to jail and I created a faster method of doing so which allows you to skip the entire left side of Mount Fay.

from there, I cleared bilewater, got the apostates key, long claw, seeker soul killed Luigi, Groal, The First Sinner, Raging conch fly, father of flames and the voltfilament monster. I then killed phantom and didnt enter the citadel. a

i have basically all of the abilities and tools from the snare and runerage to the mount fay tool as well as the delvers drill etc.

without bench storage is there a way for me to get into memorium without triggering act two?

I can either enter via the last judge, wisp thicket or exhaust organ so far.

i try to flip the switch on that bilewater latch that leads to the twisted bud but RUNERAGE never lands where it should.

i don’t want to do weird bench storage glitches or hacks.

what if like is very specific instructions as to which rooms i need to avoid to not have act two trigger.

I dunno if it’s just because I played SS first, but HK feels SOOOOO much harder to me.

Mothwing cloak makes the movement feel weird and clunky, not natural and fluid like swift step, especially with the gravity being different, and that clunky movement makes combat feel awkward.

On top of that, focusing instead of binding makes healing in combat next to impossible. Like, you have to see the boss’s attack, then, the moment they start it you have to start healing and pray you positioned well enough to not get hit mid heal, and that is just getting to heal ONE MASK. Bind is way easier to use mid fight, and silk being notches instead of gloop like soul makes it way easier to tell how much I’m even capable of healing.

I’m not saying silksong is easy, far from it. It is difficult and that is what makes it so satisfying, but HK just feels like I’m fighting against the game itself. Is silksong really seen as harder just because it’s faster and there’s more diagonals? I genuinely don’t get it.

I finished the game after more than 200 hours. I was stuck in Lost Lace for months, even didn't play it for a few months because of Lost Lace. But it finally happened today.

Consider this: I only played some sega games when I was a little girl, then it was all Sims and some Minecraft. Also English not my first language so you know if you see any mistakes blah blah.

So I am in Act 2 and every time I close the game after saving, my save file resets to Songclave at 26h 40m. No matter what I do. My cloud files are backed up and up to date. This has never happened to me before and is getting annoying because I cannot progress. I also noticed that progress started to reset mid-game. I purchased the flea location for Mount Fay and a couple other places. After I got them at the other places, the icon in Mt. Fay disappeared and when I went back to Fleatopia, it's like I never purchased it.

ETA two: it's not just one save file. I started a new one and got to the first bench, saved, exited, and the file is still empty.

ETA three: leaving this up for posterity in case anyone else has this issue: if you have a boss rush mod downloaded (Pantheon of Pharloom), make sure it's deleted off any machine you play Silksong on (:
