Domain help trustpilot.com

A review I wrote on trustpilot.com wasn't published because I gave them an e-mail alias. WTH... More and more websites won't accept e-mail aliases, I guess I'm going to have to buy a domain at a reputable TLD...

It doesn’t appear that Trustpilot is blocking hide-my-email aliases outright. It may be related to the specific review or account rather than the fact that you used an alias. We’d recommend contacting Trustpilot directly for further clarification and assistance, as they should be able to explain why the review wasn’t published.

The same e-mail that said that my review wasn't published also generically listed a number of possible reasons:

  • multi-account (nope)
  • temporary e-mail address (SL aliases aren't necessarily temporary, but are they aware?)
  • using proxies or VPNs to hide my identity (nope)
  • my device or account activity were unusual (using a Linux distro is unusual, but not a crime)
  • my review contained ads, URLs, e-mail addresses or phone numbers (it was an enthusiast review, but not an advertisement)

They said I could dispute the rejection by replying and explaining why I thought they were wrong, which I did, but haven't got a reply yet.
