I'm a modder and while working on the dropdown menu to make it instant, i struck a snag as it became apparent to me (through mostly thoughts of my own) and comments that it would be easier to make the pie-menu instant first, but it feels like a step backwards because i almost got it working on the dropdown menu. But there are people that want 'vanilla experience' and i respect that. So i've decided i'm going to strip the dropdown of the 'dropdown parts' and make an optimisation mod to make the pie-menu instant (0 seconds) even under 1T of mod load. It will work silently behind the scenes caching your actions and presenting it back to you instantly.

Here are some common questions I hear down at the lab:
Calliope: What is it?
Medusa: A separate Optimisation Quality of Life Mod not compatible with my other mods.

Calliope: How does it work?
Medusa: First click you wait you're original pie-menu click wait time, all after are instant.

Calliope: Yes, but HOW?
Medusa: Optimistic preloading at first, end actions load silently behind the scenes and get cached for next click.

Calliope: When will it be done?
Medusa: I can't answer that, between now and next two weeks. The bones are already working, the joints are moving but on a different menu. The video does not show any actual footage in action.

Calliope: Is it going to be locked in your vault forever?

But i'm only sharing this here to see what you think of my video format and to know if you are excited for this :) I finally found a format i like filming in. I hope this post is allowed here as I'm really stumped and in need of help.

I built a church with wedding & reception facilities and in the basement I made living quarters for a minister. When I tried to schedule a wedding event, the venue didn't show up. I realized afterwards that I didn't set the lot as a wedding venue but had it set as residential.

Then I ran into an issue when changing the lot from residential to a wedding venue because I set the basement as a residential area and the chapel and reception areas as public areas, since I have the Business and Hobbies pack. Now I can't quite figure out how to get it all to work again since the area designations came off when I changed it to a wedding venue and it won't accept the area designations when I changed it back to residential.

So before I crash my brain cells I thought I'd come ask people who've been simming longer than I have and know a ton more.

Is it at all possible to do have an onsite minister living in a separate area of, or in another house on the same lot as the wedding venue? Will the residential and public area designations work in this situation as nothing is being sold except the service of hosting weddings. Thanks in advance for any and all responses.

Why cant you wear the werewolf bandage gloves on both hands? i wanted to use them for an outfit but i can have only one or the other, i really wish there was fingerless gloves for the males or something else that could work

This has been going on for the LONGEST time. Every time I send my Sims couple out on a date or just to hangout with their friends (and sometimes it is their friends giving them stank/sad face too...), there is ALWAYS a Sim in the corner giving hater energy or looking like somebody just told them their cat died or something. At first I thought this was just the Sims being its quirky self, but this KEEPS happening. Can't a couple just love each other, have fun, and live their life in peace?? 😭 This even happened at their wedding too

The Sims 4 only has one design option, so it feels pretty boring.

Vivienne has an awful personality. She's self absorbed, materialistic, high maintenance. I was going to have her seduce Tybalt Capp and replace his kids with hers in the line of inheritance but she met Beatrice first, found her attractive because she loves a talented sim with money and a good job. Vivienne ended up becoming best friends with Beatrice because they have high compatibility and Beatrice provides a listening ear to Vivienne complaining about a lot of things including the outfit Beatrice was wearing when they met and talking about how great she is.

At this point, I was still going to have Vivienne seduce Tybalt but Tybalt is a celebrity and he isn't interested in random gold diggers. But apparently Beatrice is because she asked to stay in her very low class home. Then Vivienne got the call to be on 7 Wild Dates so I gave up on Tybalt.

I am building a functional joe [joy] & the juice counter where you can order smoothies instead of boba. I plan to actually have a joy & the juice + Pilates/gym business. So far its working as planned but I still need to make changes to the appearance.

It’s so funny to me how sims make certain vocalisations based on their walk and voice types. Sims with the swagger walk sometimes make a sound like "hah!" when you tell them to do something and the ones with the feminine walk say "ahhh…” in a real sassy voice.

But my absolute favourite thing is when the sweet-voiced female sims sometimes blurt out "huh!!!" really loudly for no reason at all. It’s especially funny when they're just standing around doing nothing. "HUH!!"

I’m primarily a builder in the sims so I would prefer not to have to go into live mode every time.

Is there any way to have a sim feel cheerful after a breakup, while keeping their ex sad? My awful sim has been Very Unsatisfied in his relationship with his wife for weeks in game. He's been having an affair with a new partner he now has a higher relationship, and higher relationship satisfaction with. I tell him to divorce his wife, and he's suddenly consumed with sadness over it. Is there any way I can have him feel Happy after ending an unsatisfying relationship? I also don't want to just tank their relationship first, because I do want his wife to have the sad moodlets, and hopefully to go through grief too (I only recently got Life and Death so I don't fully understand the grief system yet).

On a related note whyyyy is this man getting pissed off when his affair partner tries to get him to break up with the wife he's deeply unsatisfied with? Is it just me or has breaking up other sims been a whole lot more difficult since Growing Together?? I kind of thought being very unsatisfied with his wife and asked by an affair partner he is satisfied with and likes better would do it, but apparently not.
