There is a saying amongst SW developers. If you don't look at your old code and think it sucks you have stopped growing.  Maybe something similar can be applied to life?

Sometimes I look at old code and just think “dang, I had a lot of time to work on that back then - i could never do that now because I’d have to bang it out in an afternoon”

While I do think I was an idiot in my teens, I do not really care, because I usually did what I thought was right at the moment. I still do what I think and feel is right at the moment, in later years I can maybe say I was stupid but why? What's done is done.
