I find it unbelievable that Siri is incapable of multi-language “understanding” at this moment. Simple tasks such as “Play {place song name that is not English}” and watch Siri completely hallucinate and start playing something completely wrong…

Not to mention that Siri is basically locked on a single language, so if you start a new chat on a new language, it simply bombs out…

I find this to be such a detrimental thing, I would even call it as “show blocker”… makes me think that the PO of Siri is someone that lives in the middle of the US, speaks only English, only listen American songs, only eats American food, only has American named friends, only goes to American named stores/markets and so forth

Recently shifted from ip13 to this ip17, and its been couple of hours i m not able to use Apple Intelligence and its features (eg: circle to search in screenshots), also the siri animation is the old bottom circle one as shown in the screenshot, also tried shifting my siri language and general language to US english (m from india), the Apple Intelligence button is also turned ON, Still its not working, any ideas or fixes? I dont have a fcking clue whats wrong here. Current ios version installed is 26.6.1

I know I’m very late at this, and I’m sure that you guys already had discussion about this, but I recently got back my iPad Air M1 and just bumped it up to iOS 27 public beta five as the phone I have doesn’t support this because it is an iPhone 13, so I’m just starting to use this and tell me if there are any tips or new things that might be hidden or something that can make this thing more fun, although I gotta say this is much better take on Siri AI or Apple Intelligence.

I just made a booking for an event next month and said to siri “Hey Siri, add this event to my calendar with the travel time to it from home and also add a reminder the day prior” and it extracted the information from the booking screen on safari and actually added a reminder and calendar with all the right details im so impressed!

Anybody get this message a lot on the public beta? I get this at least half the time I ask Siri anything. Even something as simple as sending a text message or asking to play a song. I don’t know if it because it’s beta, or if this is some common issue that I’ve never dealt with before.

I have in Apple Calendar several different calendars for organization. One is named Work for my work schedule. One is for Meetings specific work meetings. One is called Friends and Family which is for things I'm doing with friends and family. And one is called Doctor for doctor appointments. I cann't figure out how to ask Siri "what is the next event in my Doctor calendar" or "Add to my Meeting Calendar..." I get a generic response that no such calendar exists. Is this just not possible or am I saying it wrong? If not, then it seems my organization isn't useful and heplful with the way Siri works. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

One of my biggest annoyances with Siri, is that no matter how many times, when I am voice dictating and correct a word, the next time I say it the word is put back to what I originally corrected! I know I’m not on iOS 27 yet, but I cannot understand why, within the same session (texting, searching, etc.) Siri is still unable to retain the history within that session! Another annoyance, and I know it is not Siri but somewhere in the programming, is if I have voice dictated something that I have autocorrection in place (e.g., gonna > going to) he will only suggest that change if I have typed it. And don’t get me started on the random correction Siri decides to make… just now when giving my example and I said “gonna” Siri changed it automatically to Ghana, TWICE! Anyway, that is my rant and I am also hoping that someone who is on iOS 27 and AI is better developed, that these situations have gotten better. And by the way, I tried to speak as distinctly as I can and Siri still can be awful!

I don’t have an Apple Intelligence device, so I was wondering. Can you schedule a text message using the send later feature using siri?

Why can I only select a single language for Siri and not multiple languages?

Can Siri not detect what language I’m speaking?

For beta people, is this solved in iOS 27?

I’m going slightly insane! For several years I’ve been able to prompt Siri to read new Whatsapp messages out loud and then reply to them in my native language, Dutch, which is a supported Siri language. Since a few months this stopped working, I can’t figure out why. Am still on IOS18, but know someone else that has the same issues on updated IOS26.

After lots of resetting and fiddling I‘ve found it does work in English. In Dutch it will always tell me “I can’t find an app for that”, or even “I can’t find the app ‘WhatsApp’”. If I simply say “WhatsApp“, Siri will open the app just fine.

Has language support for 3rd party apps changed somehow? Is this a WhatsApp issue? Spotify seems to work.

Has anybody else experienced Siri going rogue in regards to responding and/or sending text without the users approval?

So, I don't fully know how Siri works as an android user, but my friend has an apple watch and whenever I talk it activates even without me mentioning Siri at all. Is this a problem for anyone else? Today I activated Siri 3 times today on my friend's watch and it gets to a point.

Is there a way to enable Siri voice commands for Waze on an iPhone 17? I have set Waze as the default map/driving app but Siri doesn't seem to want to talk to it.

Siri or should I say a voice said that from my iPhone.
Right at the end of myself & my mam’s conversation regarding IVF, Adoption, Fostering & me not parenting/supporting kids at all.

We hear in a robotic voice.

“That’s Great”

The phone I’m currently typing on thinks “That’s Great”.
That’s Great I don’t know if I want to parent & bring up a child.

I apparently I’m unable to access a history of Siri.
I don’t talk to Siri, there isn’t a history.

Just a two word vocal output.

“That’s Great”

I have no where else to post this so here it is.
I am unnerved.
My 66 year old Mother is completely scared.

I didn’t have a single thing to say in order to reassure her cause why the hell has this happened.

Please let me know if there is a way to access Siri Vocal history either way I will be visiting Apple.

I installed the iOS 27 beta five, indexing finished, siri still unavailable. The ios storage tab doesent show any apple intelligence or siri tab and the storage isnt increasing at all. It just says “Adding support for siri is in progress. Siri will be unavailable until the update is complete.” Anyone with a similar problem or a way to fix?

I bought an iPad Air M4 13-inch about five months ago. I bought it mainly because I thought the M4 was the best tablet processor available, iPadOS was supposed to be polished, and Apple generally had the best tablet experience.

I think I made the wrong decision.

The biggest problem for me is Siri and Apple's AI experience.

Siri feels incredibly primitive compared with Gemini on Android.

For example, on my Android phone, if I'm reading something on the screen and I want help understanding it, I can simply invoke Gemini, select/circle the relevant part of the screen, and ask it a question. It can actually understand the context and explain it.

I use this quite often while studying. Sometimes I have migraines and reading for long periods becomes difficult, so I'll use Gemini to read the content on my screen aloud. It's extremely convenient.

On the iPad, I tried doing essentially the same thing.

Instead of actually understanding what's on my screen, Siri frequently responds with something along the lines of:

"I can ask ChatGPT about that."

Fine. I enabled ChatGPT.

But then ChatGPT doesn't actually have the same seamless screen-context experience I get with Gemini. So I end up with this weird chain:

Ask Siri → Siri asks ChatGPT → ChatGPT can't properly access/understand what I'm looking at → I have to manually copy/share things → finally get an answer.

Why?

I'm not asking Siri to run a nuclear reactor. I just want it to look at the question that's currently on my screen and explain it.

Another example is solving MCQs online.

On Android, I can invoke Gemini, circle/highlight the question, and ask for the answer and explanation.

It's incredibly convenient.

On iPadOS, I don't get anything remotely as seamless.

And this isn't some rare edge case for me. These are exactly the kinds of small interactions that make a device pleasant or annoying to use every day.

And that's where I'm starting to question the whole "M4 makes the iPad the best tablet" argument.

Yes, the M4 is ridiculously powerful.

But honestly, what percentage of normal tablet users are actually going to use the M4's full performance?

I use my tablet for:

- Studying

- PDFs

- Notes

- Browsing

- YouTube

- Movies

- MCQs

- General multitasking

- Occasionally gaming

- Occasionally editing photos/videos

A flagship Snapdragon/Dimensity chip is already more than powerful enough for essentially all of that.

Meanwhile, Samsung gives me things I actually notice every day:

120Hz AMOLED display

Excellent speakers

S Pen included

Better screen-context AI/Gemini integration

Better multitasking/DeX

MicroSD

Much more flexible file management

A generally more open Android experience

And then I look at my iPad.

I have an M4 chip, but I'm mostly using it to read PDFs and watch YouTube.

The hardware is ridiculously powerful, but sometimes the software makes basic tasks feel unnecessarily difficult.

That's the part that frustrates me.

I don't need my tablet to have the world's fastest processor if the experience of doing simple things is worse.

I'd rather have a slightly slower flagship processor with software that makes my everyday tasks effortless than have an M4 that I almost never fully utilize.

The funny thing is that I actually like the iPad hardware.

The 13-inch screen is great.

The M4 is insanely fast.

The build quality is excellent.

But I'm increasingly realizing that hardware specifications aren't the same thing as user experience.

I bought the iPad thinking:

"M4 + iPadOS = best possible tablet."

Now I'm thinking:

"Maybe I bought the best hardware attached to an operating system that doesn't fit how I actually use a tablet."

I'm seriously considering selling my five-month-old iPad and buying a Galaxy Tab S9/S10/S11 or one of the Ultra models.

And I'm genuinely torn because I know I'd be giving up some gaming performance and some of the M4's ridiculous headroom.

But I'm starting to think that 90% of the time, I'd rather have the better everyday experience than performance I'll almost never use.

Has anyone else switched from a recent iPad to a Samsung Galaxy Tab specifically because of AI, screen-context features, multitasking, and general usability?

Did you regret switching, or did you find that the Samsung experience suited you better?
