I’ve seen a lot of discussions about autoplaying music, and I’m trying to figure out why I should care if someone wants to take the music side of Sky more casually by just clicking to play songs and listen while enjoying the overall vibe of the game.
There are also disabled players who simply cannot learn a song the way it’s meant to be played and still want to enjoy the music.
I’ve thought hard about both sides, and I’ve realized one side is driven by ego while the other just wants to listen to the music they like. Even if they pretend they played it themselves, I still find it hard to care because there’s no real in-game advantage to being the better Sky musician.
This also creates a toxic space where players end up wrongly reporting actual good players who simply come across as suspicious. I just don’t get it. If there was a real reason it harmed other players, I’d agree, but it doesn’t. The only harm comes from the false reports and the guideline that keeps fueling the toxicity around this whole topic.
What would yall implement to shift this?
