Xbox Series X/S Lost Lydia

Can’t find Lydia anywhere, she hasn’t died or anything
Was fighting markarth guards and she just disappeared
Any ideas?

What have you tried and where have you already looked for her?

The usual process is: Check the last place you saw her. Check Dragonsreach. Check Breezehome, then your other houses.

If she isn't at any of those places, go inside Breezehome (or wherever you've assigned her to live or be a housecarl, if it isn't Breezehome), wait/sleep for 3 in-game days, save, exit game, then load that save.

If she still isn't at the home she's supposed to be at, or at Dragonsreach or Breezehome, she's probably dead in Markarth's canals or her body fell through the world and is trapped there forever.

Either that or she will randomly show up 100 hours later for no reason, as she has done to me more than once. That's just classic Skyrim jank for ya.

There are also console commands to restore her, but I don't know them. Hopefully someone else can help you with that.

I too lost her once and found a mod that let me make finding her a quest. She got pushed into a wall by blade trap. And Serena one was on knees at bottom of mushroom tower. Maybe there is a mod to help you too to find her.
