I’ve started a new series on my YouTube channel called “Gita in Our Real Life,” where I’m trying to understand the Bhagavad Gita beyond just repeating its famous quotes—especially how its teachings can actually apply to the problems we face in everyday life.

In Episode 2, I talk about the very commonly heard line:

“Karm karo, fal ki chinta mat karo.”

We hear this everywhere, but when you’re actually waiting for exam results, a job, an opportunity, or something you’ve worked really hard for… how do you practically stop worrying about the outcome?

That’s what I’ve tried to explore through the Gita in this video, in a simple and relatable way.

I’d genuinely love to hear different perspectives, especially from people who have studied or followed the Gita.

What does this teaching mean to you personally? And is there any real-life problem you’d like me to explore from a Gita POV in the next episode? 🪷

Hi there. Very introverted person here. I have been feeling this pull for a while to maybe start a YouTube channel. What’s funny is I’m not really on social media, but I do love watching people share their lives on YouTube.

Still trying to figure out my motivation, but I think it’s partly to document my life, share my thoughts, maybe build a bit of community. I tend to be pretty isolated in general.

As far as audience, I don’t really have huge expectations, but I guess I would be pretty bummed if there was no interest or it was all just negative comments. Definitely self-conscious about some things.

I’m thinking of sharing the journey of being an adult learner going back to college and also trying to balance a full-time job, raising kids, finances, etc. I would probably keep the channel a secret, even from my husband. I’m afraid that he would think it’s a total waste of time.

Am I crazy or is this something I should move forward with? Pros? Cons? Welcoming any and all thoughts. TIA!

Last year, I started my YouTube channel, Adventure Route.

On the channel, I share videos from my ski trips (including ski resort explorations and reviews) as well as footage from various travel destinations around the world. However, I am considering pivoting the channel to focus exclusively on snow and skiing. My plan is to post 10 to 15 videos per ski season from different resorts, showcasing the best blue, red, and black slopes, along with a full overview of the resort itself.

Lately, I have the feeling that something is off with my strategy, but I can't quite figure out what it is.

Hello! I saw a few posts in the writing subreddit asking for recommendations before but I was looking for a very specific niche.

I used to watch this YouTuber called Bianca1207 a fair bit and her writing videos (I.e writers block is a lack of obsession) always really inspire me to push forward with my writing. But the thing is I’m not massively keen on her content as a whole, and nowadays she almost exclusively makes vlog content.

I was wondering if there are any other YouTubers who make a similar vein of writing content? Chaotic and now perfectly put together, that feel like a friend or classmate just passionately telling you about that they’re writing and how they’re doing it.

I feel like a lot of writing vlogs I watch are these perfectly curated and scripted entities, very clean and polished around the edges “clean girl” or “light academia” esque breakdowns of the writing flow. Everything just feels very professional youtubey. And there’s nothing wrong with that! It’s just that it’s not for me.

Basically I’m looking for more old school vlog, putting on the camera and stream of conciousness chatting, chaotic, fun lore dump ish style of videos.

Does anyone have any recs??

I've only got enougj time to do 1, maybe 2 drawings a week on average, and I really want to get better at thumbnail art, but I need a video to attach it to.

What should I do?
