ahhh i won't lash out but
i mean obviously fe is the superior IE based on this post, they're enlightened and just and moral and self-understanding, while fi is just being a hater because that other guy has a soda and fi doesn't.

Not Socionics, but Carl Jung did initially define Introverted Feeling types as “having negative, harsh judgements about objects”... he even typed Freud as one 😭

oh, and how silly and unjustified that must always be.
it's just a soda, after all...
isn't it?

I'm not sure if that's completely accurate. This would mean every time Fi is sad, it's because they hate someone/something. But sadness doesn't have to have an external source.

you don’t use just one or the other. remember every socionics type uses all 8 elements. elements of the same domain (in this instance, ethics) can happen at the same time simultaneously, and they very often do.
but one element of that process, the one that’s verbal to the person, is reflected on more personally than the other one.9

No, it couldn't. Expressing hate, sure, but the actual repulsion/attraction belongs to Fi.

How do you differente between hate and repulsion though?

u/OptimistHobo SLE-Ti FLVE 1d ago
Fi repulsion = You distance yourself from or approach someone because of sentiments. ”I like this person, we’re friends.”, ”I hate this person, we’re enemies.”
Anyone can cause anyone discomfort, but adjusting the psychological distance/relationship belongs to Fi. If they’re repulsed, they repulse. If they’re enamoured, they close the distance.
Fi PoLRs do not trust their sentiments. If they hate someone, that’s not grounds to distance themselves from that person. If they like someone, that’s not grounds to approach that person.

With this definition I'm Fi, but I'm INFP in the mbti

If you’re IEI, you’re as competent with Fi as an EII. Not odd that you identify with it.

Yes, and Fi lowkey is judgemental as fuck. We don’t like when people mess with our friends

Beta NFs still have high dimensional Fi which feeds into their Fe and Ni but it's more that Fe is end result of how something makes you feel rather than how you feel towards something itself.

Emotion is a basic human thing. But Fe is not simply the emotion. It’s the outward expression of emotion and using emotion to influence others. All extroverted functions are external.

Me when I broke the lid to my olive oil and had to resort to extreme measures to open it

This is technically correct because Fe is Expression and Fi is Impression.

So how do betas feel when they love/hate someone or something or a group? Or do they just detect love/hatred from other people and choose to encourage or discourage?
It’s hard for me to imagine that someone doesn’t have love or hate coming from within. But I do kind of sense this from alpha and beta people.
