Frontend engineer with 7 YoE targeting remote roles - looking for resume and positioning advice
I’m a frontend engineer based in Nigeria with about 7 years of experience across React, Next.js, TypeScript, Web3 products, dashboards, and workflow tools. Most of my past roles came through referrals, direct outreach, or client/client-style work, so I’m trying to get better at applying through regular job channels.
I’m targeting remote frontend engineer roles across SaaS, Web3, and product-focused teams, but I’m trying to understand whether my profile is positioned well for the current market.
I’d appreciate advice on a few things:
- Whether my resume makes me look too framework-focused instead of product/engineering focused
- Whether I should include 2-3 deployed solo projects to show broader ability
- Whether I should target frontend engineer, product engineer, or full-stack leaning frontend roles
- What kind of roles/companies this profile is most likely to fit
- Any changes you’d make to improve callback chances for remote roles

Sorry to say, remote jobs are over. You will need to move to find a job - most will require hybrid or full on-site.
Frontend role is also hard to find. You should migrate to "AI engineer" role which is a mix of full-stack + making everything 100X times faster with agentic programming.
