First 1000p army

Hey everyone, this is my first attempt at putting together an army 😂. I’ve already bought the Combat Patrol and 1 box of Headtakers. I don’t have the rest of the models yet. Is there anything you would swap out in this list?

Same, I’m picking up the combat patrol this weekend and slapping together my Grey Hunters tonight so I’m very curious.

You could take out the second group of headtakers for some wolf scouts. But 2 units of headtakers aren't the worst. So I say try them.

But if you took out the second group of headtakers for wolf scouts, I think you would have enough points to make the wulfen into wulfen with storm shields and thunder hammers. Which would probably be better in the long run.

Build your wulfen with storm shields and hammers. It prevents them from dying as easily and makes them very good at killing monsters and vehicles. I don't find that they do enough to justify running unless you're playing into a very vehicle heavy army, but I also just don't like their models.

Run your terminators with 3 shields instead of bolters. The extra wound is more valuable than a bad gun (At least until the new codex)

If I were going to run 6 headtakers, I'd run them in one group with a WGBL or wolf priest if they have shields. But I think 6 headtakers with a leader are a bit too pricy for 1k. I like running them as a cheap unit with no leader to hang out with my termies and precision out leaders of attacking units in incursion.

You don't really have any cheap utility. I'd try to find a way to fit in scouts or combi Lt.

I also like having intercessors to sticky home and screen for the first few turns, then to go stand on a point and do secondaries.

Also be weary that the new space marine codex comes out soon and may change things drastically, id avoid buying anything else for the time being because list comps will change drastically.
