Wedding Photographer

Any suggestions on a wedding photographer? I’m getting married in September. I’ve seen photographers for $3,000+ for 2-4 hours and that seems quite a lot. Hoping to find a better price but good quality.

It’s a LOT more than 2-3 hours. It should be pre meetings. The events. Editing. Meeting again. Then producing the final products.

That’s like suggesting a movie budget should be small because the movie is only 90 minutes.

$3000 is on the low end for wedding photography, and as someone else said it's much more than 2-3 hours. You can prolly find someone for less but you'll be compromising quality.

I highly recommend Spin and Shoot, a couple I know who provide photography and DJ services for weddings. They’re based in RI but I know they travel out to Western Mass for weddings. Unsure if they’re available so soon but worth a shot! Congratulations on your wedding!

We paid just over $3000 for almost 8 hrs with Steph Craig Photography for our September wedding almost 3 yrs ago. She’s based in Holyoke. We loved her. She was spot on with everything we wanted and her timeline was well written in the contract. She also had multiple packages available to choose from.

Thank you so much for the recommendation. I’ll look her up.

We also picked the package that had two photographers to cover everything and not have a photographer running around trying to get everything. After our wedding she booked a couple of our friends too. I really enjoyed her down to earth laidback vibe.
