If anyone with a camera able to capture the moon sees this could you please take a picture of said moon tonight for me? And then post/comment here?
It’s just so big and bright and beautiful. I stood outside staring at it… until my neighbors pulled into their driveway and wondered what I was doing but my old iPhone only shows a white ball when I try to take a picture.
Sorry if silly requests aren’t allowed on this sub 🌕

We prefer not to go to a flooring company. We'll buy the flooring at Menard's and rip out the old carpet ourselves. So, we just need a person with the tools and the know-how to install laminate in an 900-sq-ft apartment. Recommendations are appreciated.

Hi! I recently moved to the area and I’m looking for someone to cut my curly hair. My old stylist moved from my hometown in 2020 and since then I’ve been cutting my hair myself😬 I also don’t trust people when it comes to my hair so I need your best recommendations.

I mean, the ask is in the title. . . With the current political climate, I always have to consider the possibility that I'm going to be furloughed after October 1 every year. . . When my wife and I lived in MD, we had access to lots of resources to help ease the burden on our finances (unemployment, state loan programs, utility and mortgage forgiveness, etc.). My question is, does Illinois or local businesses do anything during a shutdown to help out? I'm still trying to financially recover from the last furlough, and from having to move out here lol, so Idk how we'd be able to handle a major hit like a furlough or not being paid when we have rent and utilities due. . .
Thanks for any help, I appreciate it.

One of my friends works at a store that sells Pokémon cards, nothing big just generic little tins, and apparently theres a scalper going around threatening stores. Said hes "bringing his boys" and hes gonna get the store, and keeps calling corporate over them not having stuff in stock, because ya know, its sold or not put into inventory yet.
Dude is getting banned from the store since they have him on camera harassing people and making threats. Yall be careful if you work in places that sell cards, apparently this guy is a repeat offender and is in some type of discord server, stalking trucks around town and claiming he tracks shipments and will threaten and raise hell over the smallest card packs 😭 theyve already called the police on him for threatening employees and hes not allowed back at all
edit: apparently theres an actual online server for the area that stalks and tracks pokemon card shipments nearby. idk if thats legal, but there was a group of boys who used to stalk a delivery woman around town to the point where she quit a few years ago, my friend used to work in a few different retail chains in town so hes seen scalpers go crazy like this is other stores too

I used to be a huge DDR Player in the old Aladdin days, and while StepMania X isn't quite DDR it's the next best thing. The machine at the new Legends Entertainment is the usual up down left right, but also adds a center button. It jump scared me at first but didn't take long to get used to.
Definitely check it out if you're a rhythm game fan.

I frequently get this ad on Facebook. I have a hard time believing it will bring in 25 million annual revenue to the community.
I’ve been to a few tournaments over the winter, I understand it wasn’t official complete when they started hosting tournaments but I have concerns.
Have you been what are your thoughts?

I love their food, and I happened to be out and about while getting hungry, so I decided on an early lunch and got there right at open time for them. I was met with happy employees who were all smiles and I received my excellent teriyaki chicken bowl in no time at all. I just love their food, their consistency, and their employees. Thank you for being a cherished part of our community!! 🥂

I will be taking the Lincoln Service 302 this Saturday to Chicago and will have 2 bags- one big and one medium sized as I am flying out. Just wanted to know if there’s usually enough space on the racks at the end of the cars as Springfield is the fourth stop from St Louis where the train originates
Don’t wanna rely on hauling it overhead as I am pretty short and the big one won’t fit anyway
Would appreciate any info from someone who travels on this route thanks!

Wow, I never been treated with friendliness and respect like I did in downtown Chicago and at the state fair. Everyone at the fair from people working there to the fairgoers. I only went for a few hours and loved it! In 2026 it hard to find an any place where people as whole are nice! A little secret being from Michigan, I pick the people from this state over Michiganders any day, since most people in Michigan are very uptight compared to its surrounding neighbor in terms of being more laid back! I even talk to many people who didn't share my own views! I also apologize to those people at the fair that saw me and were curious I didn't get to speak to but saw me! I may not look friendly, but I am! One of my favorite states! Sorry I forgot to take a picture at the fair yesterday this one was in Chicago. One of my favorite states! But Illinois you impressed me!

Hello. I've lived in Springfield for 7 years now, and I live in an apartment building that doesn't collect recycling. (Our building manager tried for a brief time, but something must have happened, because that's been discontinued. I am also disabled and I am unable to drive, so it's very hard for me to take items to the recycling center myself, and I currently don't have anyone to call on for help. I know there is nowhere downtown that I can take things, but we do have those public bins around town. Do you know if I can put some things in those, or are they just for bottles and cans? I don't want to contaminate the bins. I realize recycling is a Band-Aid over a gaping wound, but if we can do it, we should try right? I have e-mailed Public Works, but I don't have much hope for a response.
Thank you for your help. Have a great day!
Thanks in advance for your help. Have a great day.
