Also, I didn't realize the American Kestrel 1 cent stamps were slightly different colors as well as denomination printings (01 vs 1) until I saw this pattern. 😍

My craft table is extremely dark. I see that I switched two of the left kestrels. :( It was unintentional, I meant for the rows diagonally to all be the same type! Nothing like a really good photo to put it in perspective ha ha.
The ones that are the more brilliant red are also larger birds.

Oh, they really are! The design was tweaked between the two printings. That's super fascinating. I do not need these American Kestrel stamps but I really really want them. Both kinds!! 😆

Welcome to the "How'd I end up with 100+ stamps in 2 varieties of Kestrel?!" club! haha I will say it's pretty inexpensive in terms of decoration material. ;)
