My work (Please don't judge me)

Hello :)

So, if it isn't too much of a hassle, I made some ideas of stories in my head as well as some short stories for ones I'm really invested in and decide to share it here. Please excuse if any of the work I made is WIP (also cringe for me since I'm 18 now as I'm making this post) and some are outdated. I'll be definitely making some changes in the documents as I go as well as possibly uploading more documents (This is my first time making a Reddit post, so fact check me if you please).

Some of these short stories I imagine them as animated films (Several of them 2D and one of them 3D). So I really hope I reach out to actual animators or people with filmmaking experience for the job of making this a reality for me since I'm not a great or good animator and artist.

So yeah, Please don't judge me on my writing skills, I'm just starting out and I've been wanting to get these dreams out of my head.

I'm developing a dark fantasy manga where supernatural contracts manifest according to the contractor's subconscious desires. Would this power system feel too complicated?

残酷な運命 — Manga Concept

I've been developing a dark fantasy manga concept called 残酷な運命 (Zankoku na Unmei / Cruel Fate).

I'm still developing the characters, story, and world, so I'm looking for honest opinions and criticism, especially about the power system and whether the concept feels too complicated.

The Story

The story takes place in a world shaped by war, slavery, violence, and a supernatural society existing alongside humanity.

Our protagonist is a young boy who grew up as an outsider. He wanted nothing more than to live an ordinary life like the other children around him, but instead he was abandoned by his community and by his own mother.

Because of this, he develops his own idea of what a "good life" should be.

He's not naturally heroic. He doesn't help people simply because he believes it's morally right. However, when he encounters people suffering through situations similar to his own, his past forces him to react.

As he grows older, he begins questioning the world around him and what kind of person he wants to become.

---

Myth Beasts & Contracts

Myth Beasts are supernatural beings that exist independently from humanity.

Despite their name, they don't necessarily look like animals. They can be humanoid, monstrous, animalistic, or something completely different.

They're extremely rare, which makes genuine contractors rare as well.

A Myth Beast can be sealed inside a scroll and summoned through a blood seal. The beast decides whether it wants to accept the person as its contractor, and some may require the potential contractor to prove themselves first.

If both sides agree, they negotiate a contract.

There are no universal contract terms.

The human can refuse.

The beast can refuse.

The final agreement depends on both sides, their goals, personalities, and how much leverage each possesses.

And Myth Beasts aren't necessarily good. Some are kind, some selfish, some cruel, and some outright evil.

---

Manifestation

After a successful contract, the contractor receives a mark and the Myth Beast's power manifests.

But the interesting part is that the exact manifestation isn't necessarily known beforehand—not even by the beast itself.

The manifestation reflects something deeper within the contractor: their desires, experiences, instincts, personality, and subconscious nature.

It doesn't necessarily give them exactly what they consciously wished for.

A manifestation could become:

- A weapon

- An ability integrated into the body

- A transformation

- A strange object

- Or even a living companion

This creates another mystery for the contractor:

Why did I receive this particular power?

What does it reveal about me?

---

The True Power

Having a powerful Myth Beast doesn't automatically make someone powerful.

The real potential depends on how much of the manifestation the contractor can extract.

Someone might receive an incredible ability but barely understand how to use it.

Another person might receive something that looks completely useless and turn it into something terrifying through creativity, experimentation, adaptation, and mastery.

The contractor has to discover the limitations and possibilities of their manifestation.

In some cases, the Myth Beast itself can evolve.

So the progression isn't simply:

Power → Stronger Power → Transformation

It's:

Contract → Understanding → Adaptation → Mastery → Potential Evolution

---

Contractors Aren't Just Fighters

Contractors are rare enough to become extremely valuable to society.

Not all of them are warriors.

Some could become fortune tellers, healers, researchers, craftsmen, investigators, religious figures, or members of powerful organizations.

Some may even become famous enough to be worshipped.

Others could be recruited, protected, kidnapped, or hunted because of what their contracts can accomplish.

A contractor doesn't need to be physically powerful to be extremely valuable.

---

Normal & Corrupted Myth Beasts

There are two major categories.

Normal Myth Beasts

Normal Myth Beasts belong to an established supernatural society.

Their personalities and morals can differ greatly, but they recognize the laws surrounding contracts.

If a contract is violated, the offender can be brought before a supernatural court.

The trial is overseen by a higher-level Myth Beast known as a Judge, whose role is to determine whether the contract was actually broken.

There are three possible punishments:

Execution

Contract Break

Confiscation

Because every contract is individually negotiated, the court has to judge the specific agreement between the two parties.

A contractor can also appeal if they believe the Myth Beast violated the contract.

Corrupted Myth Beasts

Corrupted Myth Beasts are fundamentally different.

They don't belong to the established Myth Beast society.

They can originate from experiments, accidents, mistakes, or circumstances that aren't fully understood.

Some behave like animals.

Some possess intelligence.

Some can negotiate.

Some can possess living beings.

Some can demand sacrifices.

Some can interfere with their host's soul and potentially cause soul collapse.

They're unpredictable—but unpredictability doesn't automatically mean they're stronger.

---

What I Want the Story to Be About

I don't want the story to simply be about who has the strongest power.

I want the characters' personalities, experiences, relationships, decisions, and understanding of themselves to affect how powerful they become.

The power system is meant to reveal something about the person using it.

The same world can create heroes, criminals, soldiers, victims, religious figures, outlaws, and monsters.

And the protagonist has to discover what kind of person he wants to become while living inside that world.

I'm still developing the characters, factions, arcs, and deeper mysteries.

I'd genuinely appreciate honest criticism.

What works?

What feels weak or confusing?

Does the power system feel too complicated?

And most importantly:

Would this concept make you interested enough to read the first chapter?

Brainstorming Idea for a story I got after a nightmare (repost btw and sorry if the grammar or formatting is bad 🙏)

I had a nightmare and it led to this story. Well here it goes. It's like a story where the setting is a futuristic world where people have evolved into possessing powers and most of them want to be a pro gamer, so they take a VR Simulation test to join the best gaming university. This VR test is taken based off of the characters favorite gaming genres (Action, Horror, etc.) and if you die in the VR, you die in real life as well. People first develop powers based off of the first game they play, which sets their power type and favorite gaming genre.

Those who don't play games don't get powers, so naturally people want to take the gaming route. The MC (Cade) is a guy who loves action gaming. His powers are extended stamina, sharp shooting, enhanced physical specs, and any type of gun on him at all times. He meets this traumatized girl (Ivy) who survived the horror test. Her powers are telekinesis, telepathy, etc. because horror games usually use those type of powers.

She is the only person out of 20 horror game testers that year to survive and also the first person to survive horror in 20 years. The reason people take such risk to join the University is because the political party who controls most of the world in all manners and are also the first people to get powers are corrupted. Since they were the first people to gain powers, they gained the strongest powers, one of them being immortality which allowed them to rule for so long.

Cade joined the university to overthrow them, Ivy to protect her family, while others joined to become a member of those ranks. One of that person being Vance, a racer type gamer who catches wind of Cade's plans and tries to use Ivy to get rid of him, but that backfires completely because he underestimated Ivy and her powers. In the university, All the first periods are homeroom, where all genres are mixed up. Ivy, Cade, and Vance are in the same homeroom. After homeroom, each genre get's separated to focus on their specific genre. And that's all I got so far. I'll tell you what happened in Ivy's Horror Test next time. Peace ✌️

Brainstorming Just had a great horror idea about leshys and maybe world war 1 or 2?

So i just watched a video about leshys and it got me thinking, what about a horror history where:

In a small scale: the local forest near a base / the forest the base is located on turns on them with all of the misfortunes of food spoiling and rabid animal attacks, all the while the feeling of constantly being observed by something assails all?with man going mad and people seeing animal with human eyes, or faces in the trees as people randomly walk off the base into the forest naked.

the reason for all of this? a recent battle having wrecked a chunk of the forest, infuriating its leshy.

In a larger scale: after the unprecedented destruction and land poisening brought about by the nuclear bomb, the entire world starts getting assailed by nature leading to a partial societal collapse, with the story taking place with a protagonists that recounts wow moose invaded the city, packs of wolfs and hawks roammed the edges of towns and how if you saw someone on the road or near bushes that looked off, like someone you recognized but hadn't seen in a long time, or an old man with freshly washed clothes, it was best to turn back as it probably is a leshy.

what are some more conflicts or idead you think i could incorporate into this idea and what kinds of stories could take place, to be fair most of it jus kinda sounds like something you'd see in r/nosleep

Two master swordsmen know as the Kijarumi. They are the greatest of warriors in all the 6 lands of Fumiraru. They are unparraleled in their skills, speed, reflexses, might, strength, dexterity, moving like gods. They uphold the balance of all civilisaitions in Fumiraru, each master has a weapon of their own, the naginata, the katana, the Kata Kama Yari, Susumata, Su Yari and Ōdachi

It was the wielder of the Ōdachi who abandoned the palance in search of power, wishing for battle. He turned on the Ukirumari (the Grand Temple of Kijarumi) where he killed the 4 Elders and masters of the Kijarumi. And he set down on a path of war and death, leading to him warring agiants the shogunate known as the Jurina-Majiun Rebellion or most infamously known as the Black Sun Rebellion. And the Kijarumi would fight as proud champions and generals of the emperor and shogunate, winning battles agiants the armies of bandits mercenaries turned loyal armies, and the Huku(huku was the main army of the rebelling Kijarumi, and extremly massivr well armed and trained in the art of war by him).

The most powerfull Kijarumi of all was a woman a prodigical girl of only 20 who wielded the katana, known for her speed precision and dexterity. She cared deeply for life believing it holds value that each life must be able to live in this beautifull world, that each person has inherent good because nature is so beautifull. While the rebel believes life is filled with suffering, it holds no value beyond suffering, exsistence is enforced and the only path to value in life is to claim it forceibly.

She is called the White Rumi, he is called the Black Rumi. They both wear samurai armour.

The White Rumi believes also that life is always a choice, and that it is inherently innocent and humans should strive towards it. The Black Rumi believes and saw through being a soldier before he became a kijarumi that the only way to live was survive and to survive was to fight, innoncence does not survive.

Sharing My Idea Come check out my world!

Hey my names Drake,

Im a senior in highschool, I play football, and one thing that I’ve loved all my life is a good story. Specifically comic books.(hopefully get better at drawing to lol).

I wanna be a person who writes about horror(a lot of different horror ideas I got), dystopian, action somewhere around those lines. I haven’t thought of an idea yet(if you got some ideas give em to me!), but I have a lot of inspiration off of my favorite things and other media! Along with some inspiration from certain mythologies and culture.

So here’s the plot of my comic:

It all started with a project that the government designed. A project to try and grant world peace. Other countries didn’t believe the US, but they did like the idea.

It took quite a few years. Technology advances, Money, and other benefits played in.

But something was happening that no one knew about. The only hint was that the air around the White House was becoming an awful stench of decay, that did not go away almost at all.

Soon enough the project was finished.

What started off was something similar to a vaccine. A certain chemical they made trusted to prevent infection of any disease.

It started off normal. Technology over the years advanced to extraordinary levels, and humanity discovered things on earth, and space that they never knew about before. No wars, no anger, only peace.

The chemical was…effective.

But nobody knew, that underneath the White House millions of corpses were being sacrificed to an unknown demonic entity.

The chemical substance that made the world good, wasn’t just ‘chemicals’…it was energy. Energy from Hell. Energy that contained demonic spirits inside. The president had made a deal with this demonic entity, to grant the knowledge to make world peace, under one circumstance. They cover it up. No metaphors, no coded words, nothing…and he failed at that. He had simply forgotten about this deal. Word made out to the public and conspiracy theories began.

…until it began happening. About 70% of people who have taken the chemical substance began experiencing disturbing and weird symptoms. Such as the feeling of crawling under their skin, wiggling, hallucinations of insects under their skin and hearing voices in their mind…until they stopped. But for the next few years people have been asking,

what caused this?

That’s what the main character asked.
Jackson Rivera. “Jack”. Jack was a troubled punk skater, who lived the street kid life and got expelled from a rich school. He had his flaws, but was troubled due to trauma from his past. After the tragic death of his adopted mother, he began feeling watched. He had never taken the chemical substance, but he began noticing things. A pale woman watching him from across the street.

That pale woman was revealed to be his biological mother. In a rage from her grudge towards him for ‘ruining her life’, she kidnapped Jack and imprisoned him. Then…she began to transform. Into a weird spider monster. She was surrounded by white bulbs, that were revealed to be Jacks still subconscious, screaming bullies that were her offspring. His mother turned into some sort of monster. In a near death experience, something in Jack awakened. Something angry. Jack transformed to…not into the thing that his mother transformed into. But a destructive, rage fueled, brutal demon. Jack tore his mother and the bullies who hurt him to bits. When the fight was over and he was back in human form, he woke up after falling unconscious due to exhaustion and shock from the transformation. He woke up and ran out of his biological mother’s house…

And then…he saw it. It happened so fast.

People began to change. Not personality wise but…
Literally.

People began turning into amalgamations all over the world. These creatures who were once human, turned into what their past sins were, living embodiments of them. Jack at the sight of this new world couldn’t believe his eyes…he went back inside his mother’s old house in fear. Until eventually he was found by…a woman. A woman who resembled his adopted mother’s appearance. She promised to take Jack in, and join an organization known as ‘The Veilwardens’. Who try to keep the world safe in this new apocalypse. Now Jack must fight to survive in this new corrupted world, while chasing his simple pleasures. While also uncovering the truth of this new area at the center of the world. A large pillar like tower, known as The Monolith.

Inspirations I got: Cyberpunk Edgerunners and 2077(David Martinez identical backstory events of the main character, Streetkid, plus the world is a gothic cyberpunkish world, with everyone acting like it’s all normal. Otherwise there isn’t too much cyberpunk.), Chainsaw Man(heavily inspired by Chainsaw man with Jacks personality, his bad biological figure, suffering and character development, along with the organization who takes him in), Berserk(Classic Scary hero, angelic villains(there’s a few big villains like that but lots of the minor ones are demonic looking to), plus the use of demons), Ghost Rider(Jack’s demon form that is seen a lot of, I inspired it off of Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider. As Ghost Rider is one of my favorite things of all time, and I think that it’d be frickin metal to see Ghost Rider with the personality of Denji tearing demons apart.), the dark tower(the monolith basically but with its own personal twist not like the dark tower I’m sure), various analog horror series(Some of the Mandela catalog for dopplegangers, Vita Carnis for the demons basically becoming apart of the environment, and Angel Engine for certain elements in the story. And I think this world even though I want it to be a comic, I think would make an awesome analog horror.),

Now some scary facts about the world.

Society is normalized with all these demons. There will be completely normal things happening like movie theaters, arcades, festivals, concerts, while demons are also happening at the same time.

The demons, were once humans. There are multiple types of demons. Starting as the needle like formation, turns into a physical thing in the body connected spiritually. Like an Ameoba crawling through the body. Like that, but it’s also like a botfly larva in a way because you can feel it crawling under your skin, and in your face. Eventually reaching the soul, and reading through sins. The demon deciding what their punishment is. 70% of the population was infected, but the infection of the hell energy has different outcomes.

Sometimes however, say a pregnant woman, did take the Hell Energy. But it didn’t spread to her. That means her baby has it. And on the inside, her baby fuses with the inside of her stomach, and in a gross body horror basically rips her apart from the inside and turns into a part of her.

However although earth did massively transform into demons, that doesn’t mean every demon on earth now was once human. Some have travelled up through the monolith and are now on earth.

Type 1 - Full: Demons who have zero subconscious of their human minds.

Type 2 - Sub: the human mind remains conscious, but loses control over the body or impulses. Basically putting them in a state of eternal suffering till they die.

Type 3 - Hell Walker: the human remains mostly themselves, but develops small demonic traits.(different eyes, different hair, horns, tails, this leads for them to be kidnapped and…put in concentration camp like places).

Type 4 - Darkchild(not the permanent name for them because it is based off a marvel species and the exact species Jack is.): Born from demon and human lineage.

Type 5 - failed transformation: the parasite and human consciousness partially merge, producing extremely weird mutations.

Type 6 - Divine: these are demons who have never been human in the first place, rather they are instead more powerful than any of the demons because these demons often have backstories, and are reality warpers.

Mind you, the types of demons are NOT danger levels. They are just the categories of demons.

The demons however although they have an absurdly large population now, they don’t replace certain animals(more on that later) people still eat cow, chicken, pigs, and other cattle. Things like bears, wolves, deer, are still there. But the demons have now become permanently apart of the ecosystem, while keeping still normal animals on earth. Meaning the demons aren’t just on land, there are semi aquatic ones, aquatic ones, flying demons, gliding demons, etc. the fact there are normal animals actually is a sign of hope in the series.

Corporations
The corporations humanize evil. The demons were once humans correct?
Well…
There’s a corporation for demon meat.
In fact their goal is to make it a popular dish to ‘make the most out of bad’.
They have people doing food recipes, cookbooks, however they know that what they’re doing is bad, but they just dismiss it as marketably irrelevant.

However, some evil corporations still do help people in a way.
There’s a corporation for holy ammunition to kill demons.
The corporation made holy ammunition. This corporation is pretty powerful as it is global, and schools now have ‘turning’ procedures. If someone in say…an elementary school turns into a demon, they execute whoever that is. They don’t care if it was a teacher, or once a child. Kids are even trained to shoot their own friends.
This corporation, invented holy turrets as well. Turrets that kill demons but aren’t guaranteed depending on danger level that the demon is. However, the turrets also are flawed. They don’t distinguish human from demon…which yes…that means the turrets kill people. But instead of fixing their problem they twist it by blaming the citizens, by not understanding how the turrets programming works.

There is also a live broadcast that shows a demon trying to be reverted back to its human form. However instead of doing that, they reveal a demon whose mind has permanently fused with the human. Anyone seen Angel Engine? The analog horror series? It’s somewhat like that. That scene where the angels like ‘Help…me…’ that’s kinda what I’m going for as an inspiration.

These corporations are brutal, and ruthless.

Along with specific organizations.

There’s an organization, that is a Neo-N*zi organization. And their leader is a minor villain in the series known as ‘the Tyrant’. Might rename him later to something more intimidating and give him a real name. Who imprisons Hell-Walkers, and sends them to die and starve and work to their death. The leader is an absolute sicko who acts more like a cartel than a leader, which is why this organization although powerful, is not a country organization. He becomes addicted to the parasite feeling in him, where he gets that crawling feeling. He gets some kind of sadistic pleasure out of it, and keeps taking that hell energy by pumping himself full of it. His brain has been absolutely deteriorated into deranged anger issues, and racist brutality. Until he inevitably turns. Turning into a giant subconscious flesh blob ever mutating and in pain full of guns, weapons and other things, basically becoming one big machinery blob. He turns into a type 5 demon. Jack does kill this guy.

Thats part of the few corrupted organizations in the series, and corporations.

I implemented those aspects in this series im making to get a more cyberpunk feel while there are demons around, an idea that Is one of my favorites

and I don’t think is put together enough.

The series with the main character, takes place in the US California(I’m not from California hope that’s not bad), specifically in Los Angeles. But the name street wise is renamed even by news reporters. Everyone calls it an infected city that never sleeps.

Now onto the big stuff. Such as The Monolith.

The monolith, inspired by the dark tower(Stephen King), is a colossal, never ending pillar going from below the ocean to in the sky. It appears never ending at all. However it does have dry land where people can step onto, and a doorway. And the thing about the monolith, it’s not just a pillar.
It’s a staircase.
It moves like a giant drill in a way. It was created by the main villain(more on him later), to try and pierce through the 9 layers. The way Hell and Heaven works in the series, is Hell has a Dante’s inferno thing, except reversed. The Monolith drilling through the 8th layer so that the demons from the 9th layer can travel upward. Now they’re at what was once the first layer, Earth. Earth became the 9th layer, due to the demons from the 9th layer rising up for the apocalypse. Because above earth…is heaven. That means, the main villain must be stopped, and the monolith destroyed, or else it will be a heavenly war of Heaven versus Hell. Which I will implement different mythologies and folklore for things in Heaven.

The monolith in this series is sort of part of the architecture if you can’t tell. The architecture and structure of the world, I want it to have a somewhat urban gothic, futuristic cyberpunk look. To give the darkness of the world more shine imo, and to show how modernized the demons are in the future.

I will have more on the main character, Jack, later because this app only allows 40000 characters and I wanna make this post.

My goal for this story, is to make people happy they’ve discovered such an amazing story. Because I believe that if a certain genre, a good movie that is in that genre, is making you laugh, cry, feel happy, angry, scared, and even if the horror makes you puke, that their doing somethin’ right. And I want others to feel how I feel when discovering an amazing story!

If you guys wanna make concept art, animations, or anything at all just let me know that would be so cool!

These are all my ideas I’ve just been somewhat struggling with writing a summary for them because I give a lot of detail lol

I have 2 story ideas but have no clue how to flesh them out

1-A pair of wannabe influencers try a 24 hour challenge in a Walmart only for it to turn into a cult meetup to worship an entity that lives underneath the Walmart

2-A story following a man stranded in vegas after losing his money that ends up living in the vegas sewer complex. After venturing deep into the tunnels he gets shoved even deeper by a flood and wakes up in the middle of a homeless colony that is about to sacrifice him to a like gambling God.

I don't know if these are any good but I know I just can't write very well and thought these were really cool (I really like cultish stories)

Also if anyone wants to give pointers on how I could get started I would appreciate it

EXULANSIS

A Film Treatment

Logline: Over a single Friday, three teenagers, each convinced their private wound is too strange to be understood, move through parallel mornings before colliding at the same party, wounding one another without ever realizing they were never as alone as they believed.

Structure

The film unfolds across one day. Three parallel timelines, one per character, each running from morning to evening, converge at a single Friday night party.

Marcus

Brilliant, but insecure to the point of compulsion. Marcus's bedroom is a shrine to accumulated proof: every trophy he's ever won, however minor, polished and displayed without exception, dustless. The walls are lined with carefully curated antique maps of places he's never been, and one map of Sheffield, where he was born, a place he moved away from, and visibly cannot discuss. Where a mirror once hung, only an outline remains.

His father is never mentioned. His mother is the only parent present.

Before school, Marcus and Jacob play chess in his room, the same quiet ritual it always is: Marcus quick and restless, Jacob slow and unbothered by losing. They walk to school together after.

At lunch, Marcus sits with a table of people he calls friends who talk over him rather than to him. He corrects someone's mistake, quietly, and is ignored. After school, his mother asks how his day was; when he doesn't answer, she tells him he's doing what his father used to do. He slams his hands on the table and goes to his room.

He gets ready for the party alone, checking his reflection in a dark window because there's no mirror left to check it in.

Helena

Considered the most beautiful girl in school, but she sees only what she resents in her own reflection, and lashes out at anyone who gets close, read by others as cold rather than as self-protection.

Her room is extravagant and immaculate on the surface; chaos is hidden under the bed and inside the wardrobe. Mirrors are everywhere, one cracked, from something thrown at it once, in anger. A childhood teddy bear, missing one eye, sits on her pillow.

That same morning, across town from Marcus, she stands in front of a mirror, testing angles, unable to land anywhere that feels bearable. In a crowded hallway, someone grabs her shoulder, ordinary, unthinking, just trying to get her attention. Something in her breaks loose for a second. She wipes her eyes fast, before anyone notices.

That evening, she sits in front of the cracked mirror applying makeup, wiping it off, applying it again, until the room goes dark and the mirror stops giving anything back.

Jacob

Devoutly religious, and newly aware that he's gay, a truth he believes his faith and family cannot survive knowing.

He shares a bedroom with his younger brother, Aaron: his side plain and devotional, a crucifix facing his bed, a Bible worn open to Genesis 32, Jacob wrestling the angel. At the back of his desk, a Frank Ocean Blonde vinyl. On his brother's desk, mirrored, a Kendrick Lamar DAMN. vinyl: two brothers, each quietly wrestling with themselves, neither aware the other is doing the same.

Aaron walks in on the Blonde record playing and makes a passing, careless comment about it. Jacob laughs it off. Later, in the school bathroom, Jacob grips the sink, looks at himself, looks away, and mouths a prayer that changes nothing.

He leaves for the party wearing a gold crucifix around his neck, collar done and undone and done again.

The Party

All three arrive within minutes of each other, none of them noticing the others cross the same street.

Trying to impress Helena, Marcus reaches for a classical allusion: "You're the sort of woman people fight wars for." Meant as a compliment, it reduces her to exactly what she resents being reduced to. She doesn't correct him. He doesn't notice he's lost her.

Away from the noise, upstairs, Helena finds Jacob and sits close. She asks why he didn't laugh along downstairs; he tells her he was watching whether she minded, not the joke. It's the first time all night someone has watched her rather than looked at her. She warms to him, genuinely, before she leans in and puts her hand on his knee.

He pulls away. "I can't."

The warmth in her drops instantly. She stands fast enough to bounce the mattress. "Oh, okay. You think you're better than me?" She's gone before he can answer.

Jacob finds Marcus downstairs and pulls him outside. On the walk, Marcus, oblivious, jokes that Jacob must have slept with Helena; Jacob shuts it down flatly. Marcus keeps pushing, telling Jacob it isn't good to bottle things up. Cornered, Jacob finally turns on him: "You never fucking stop. You have to know everything. You have to name it, fix it, win it. This is why your dad left."

Marcus throws the first punch. Jacob fights back and wins, dropping him more than once, but Marcus won't stay down, getting up again and again, until Jacob finally walks away and leaves him on the ground.

The Ending

All three end the night alone, each facing, or refusing to face, the same night's damage:

Marcus cleans his wounds at home and won't go near a mirror. Helena lies awake beside someone who fell asleep the moment he lay down. Jacob sits at his desk, Genesis 32 still open, his knuckles swelling, the last of the streetlight caught in the vinyl beside him.

here’s mine:

When I was 15 years old I had met this gyal and she was 24. We were in a club in London and I told her I was 18. We ended up doing it and it was the best thing ever. 2 weeks later she text me on my private ig saying “We need to talk I might be pregnant.” I instantly froze and shat myself. As a joke I said fall down the stairs. Eventually her period came and she said “it’s a shame cause we would have been great parents”. My 15 year old self got so scared I blocked her. I deleted the account. I still think about her to this day. Was I the bad person?

Sharing My Idea The FMC grew up with parents who are the protagonist of some enemies to lovers trope

This is just a vague idea of a story I dreamt the other night. Fantasy romance, I guess.

So, everyone in the kingdom of yadayada knows the love story of the queen and king: Two families that hated each other to the bone, forced together by circumstance, and who somehow fell in love.

Now the kingdom is united and at peace and everyone loves their classic enemies-to-lovers dynamic. Their love language was banter, saying “I hate you” between kisses.
The FMC is their daughter and grew up watching that hate-turned-love play out. She gets sick of it despite the good outcome, I mean, ending justified it: love had won.

What she didn’t know was the truth. Her mother had betrayed her own people for that love. Her father, devoted husband and father as he was, had ruled as a tyrant. So naturally, a revolution comes, and its leader kills her parents. This would be the love interest. One of his men moves to kill her too, but the leader stops him. He says they are not savages, that she wasn’t guilty of her parents’ crimes.

He spares her, but takes her prisoner in the same castle she grew up in. She knows that castle better than he does, so she escapes. She finds shelter with her parents’ old allies, the elite, still unaware of what her family actually did to the people they ruled. The MMC feels responsible for her and starts hunting her down, while the elite quietly begin planning to use her as a symbol to take the city back. To her, none of this makes him a revolutionary. He is a murderer and a bandit, plain as that.

So, he finds her and it’s about to kill her, but she breaks down completely, no witty protagonist, no fighty or anything. I’m tired of badass FMC. She asks him how he could have killed her parents so easily. He tells her it wasn’t easy, it was necessary. He explains he never killed anyone else, before or since. In the end, he lets her go, on one condition: she has to stay hidden and keep a low profile.

She had expected him to be cruel, that this is a trick, to antagonize her. Instead he is kind, and that throws her more than any threat could have. She grew up inside the enemies-to-lovers pattern and keeps looking for it, because refuses to fall into it again, as her parents. Still, she follows his plan, and slowly the truth starts catching up to her. She sees how the people actually live. She hears how deeply they hated her family. It’s a wake-up call.

The elite’s plot would still be to find her and use her as their symbol. That threat never goes away. When the MMC finally leaves her on her own, she asks him if this isn’t just another way to keep her prisoner. He tells her no. If she runs back to the elite, he’ll have no choice but to come after her, and this time nobody will spare her. Their cause is already dying, going back would only speed that up.

She realizes he’s right, and more than that, she realizes she doesn’t want any of it. She doesn’t want to lead a cause, a people, a rebellion. None of it. I might still have to develop her want and need, but I guess it has something to do with being the opposite to her parents.

That’s as far as the premise goes. I imagine the climax playing out with the elite finally catching up to her, trying to use her exactly as the MMC warned they would. Maybe the people want her dead by then. Or maybe not, because by that point they know her, not her family’s name, not the crown, just her, after all the time she’s spent among them. They let her go free, and she turns what she’s learned against the elite, helping bring them down for good or something.

I’m not writing it or developing it yet. So anyone is free to steal it away.

Here is a weird one....

What if everything we think we know about God, the Devil, and Jesus is bullshit? What if the devil's only real job is to keep Christ in jail? What if everything else he does serves no other purpose than to keep the most dangerous entity ever known from roaming the Earth again? What if no one knew that? What if all the writings were nothing more than God's way of sanitizing the real story of Christ as the most evil and fucked up thing he ever created? What if some supercharged "protaganist" killed Satan, in a misguided notion of destroying evil, only to release Christ, who wanted the world to die?

Also, what if I quit drinking so these kinds of random thoughts would quit running through my head?? ;)

Story idea I have

I have an idea for a story for something (I'm not sure what the piece of media will be yet) so, in this world, WW3 has broke out a couple of years ago, China, Pakistan, and Turkey formed an axis like team to achieve there goals of expansion, however, failed to defeat the allies USA, UK, France, Etc. Also, a while back, while mining in Africa, miners come across an underground civilization, that has a powerful stone called "The Sentry" which will give immense power to whoever wields it, so the UN, trying not to end the world, put it in an underground facility in the U.S. So in modern day defeated China, it is like Germany after ww1, all beat up and poor, and one day a man named Odium starts a revolution to fix China, and succeeds. Now in control of China, Odium goes after the Sentry stone and gets a hold of it, where he preceeds to kill a bunch of people, before the due to a guy shooting it, the sentry stone breaks into pieces and spreads across the world, ending up in the hands of six people. So now, the world in split into six kingdoms, all of them having a triple alliance with one another. I though of a few characters and I'll go over them here, Odium: The big bad of the story, loves killing, torture, and war, rules over his kingdom with an iron fist, Nationality: Polish Height:6'2 Athena: Kind natured, only wants the best for her kingdom, wants the fighting to stop, during Odium's attack her husband and daughter were killed Nationality: Canadian Height 6'4 Henrique: Self-centered, thinks of himself of like Napoleon, Constantly at war with Kwame's kingdom Nationality: Portuguese Height: 6'4 Kwame: The leader of the kingdom in Africa, doesn't like war or to kill, willingly saves soldiers that Henrique leaves behind, his family was taken in as slaves by Henrique. Nationality: Zimbabwean Height: 6'9 Knox: Although I have a backstory for him, it's quite dark, and probably not appropriate for here, though one thing I can say is that he is the only leader to not have a piece of the sentry. Nationality: Turkish Height: 5'6 Valdemar:  A brave and willing man, believes in fair trial and justice Nationality: Danish Height:5'4 Valentina: An assassin who was hired to hunt to down the Mayan girl Nationality: Mexican

There are a few other characters, but they don't have names so I'll just go over them here, An American boy who had his sister killed during Odium's attack, who also due to a mishap, get's a piece of the sentry stuck in his hand and gives him a power (don't know what it is yet) A New Zealand girl who loves exploring, and is generally bubbly, but has inner troubles with her emotions, as she is a lesbian. A Mayan like girl from the underground civilization, who is on the run because she has the piece of the stone Knox doesn't have, was also hated by her people for being a lesbian, later falls in love with the New Zealander girl. Lastly, a Chinese rebel fighting against Odium, kind of like how the Native Americans fought against the U.S. So, yeah that's my idea, BTW the good tripact is Athena, Kwame, and Valdemar, and the bad tripact is Odium, Henrique, and Knox. Let me know what you guys think of my idea, give me your creative feed back, or message me if you want to do concept art for it.

I have a gold mine psychological thriller school themed story idea! Hear me out

The Spires of Saint Jude

This gripping psychological mystery thriller series is set over a three-month summer break inside a grand, castle-like university building named “the spires of saint Jude Academia”, that is heavily promoted to parents as a prestigious, multi-disciplinary program that teaches teenagers life skills and chores like doing their own laundry and cleaning. The most enticing feature for parents is that the program is completely free of charge because anonymous founders cover all luxury expenses, including premium food, hostel living, and tailored uniforms consisting of skirts and jackets for girls and trousers and jackets for boys. The campus welcomes a diverse mix of strangers, siblings, cousins, and friends aged fifteen to nineteen, and because the student body spans minors and adults without age-segregated housing, the older students carry a strict moral responsibility to maintain proper boundaries with the under-eighteen teens. The daily routine is highly flexible but strictly disciplined to prevent students from sleeping away their days, featuring an open main gate from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM that grants complete daytime freedom to explore the local area. Academic classes run in fast-paced, thirty-minute practical bursts from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, where students choose exactly four subjects from a roster including Agriculture, Cooking, Science, Arts, Martial Arts, Business, Mind Improvement, Social Activities, Geography, and Politics, with the most popular subject automatically starting first each morning. However, at exactly 9:00 PM, the main gates slam shut, the campus wide Wi-Fi is terminated until 6:00 AM, cell signals drop completely into a digital blackout, and the hostel wardens take a strict attendance headcount. The only exception to the night internet ban is the library Wi-Fi, which requires students to bravely ask the intimidating superiors for formal study permission, while a secure tracking system holding every student's family contacts and home addresses prevents anyone from running away. While the daytime feels like a perfect paradise, the campus hides deeply unsettling, crazy incidents that unfold across an eight-episode anthology format, there every move is being watched and written on a disciplinary records, where the camera randomly highlights one randomly specific student as the main character where in last episodes aren’t even mentioned, making the viewers play a gamble for predicting the next student in each episode, ending abruptly at 9:00 PM by that student to take their own attendance, regardless of whether their puzzle is solved or left on a dangerous cliffhanger. These dark mysteries include a hidden underage pregnancy where a student secretly gives birth in the arts studio, premium cafeteria food that is secretly substituted with forbidden wild animal meat from the back woods, an encrypted video feed revealing hidden surveillance cameras planted inside private dorm rooms, and a deeply manipulative relationship between a corrupt teacher and a student. Other dark puzzles involve a secret elite club driven by gluttony that leads to a student being killed, a dramatic romance between a student and a powerful outsider, and the haunting lore of missing students whose bloodstained uniforms are left abandoned in defunct laundry machines. The campus at night is hunted by "The Owls," dangerous night watchmen, superiors, supervisors (teachers) or brainwashed staff members who patrol the corridors after the 9:00 PM lockdown and instantly drag any wandering student away to a hidden, soundproof punishment sector deep beneath the castle, forcing them to sit in class the next morning at 8:00 AM terrified into acting completely normal. To survive, the spotlighted students must discover and interact with physical clues left behind by past survivors to bypass rules when a formal loophole does not exist, such as a normal-looking library book containing handwritten notes and secret camera blind spots, a favorite greenhouse nursery where a retired gardener hid survival tools among the plant pots, and a loophole where late girls can sprint directly to the old Main Door Guard who manually locks the heavy gate and can secretly log them as present on his physical ledger. The ultimate theme of the show is deception and hidden alliance, which culminates in a massive grand finale twist as the summer comes to an end and parents arrive to take their kids home. The eight separate students who were spotlighted across the episodes walk out of the main gates, step past the tracking perimeter, and gather at a nearby bus stop where they completely drop their acts, revealing to the audience that they were never strangers at all. They are actually one tightly-knit, unified friend group where half met online and half knew each other beforehand, having intentionally pretended to be strangers during the day to systematically investigate the school's crimes from different angles. As they load their bags into a vehicle to head home together, the nineteen-year-old leader of the group turns to them with a smirk and asks if they are planning to come again next year, and with dark, knowing smiles, every single one of them answers yes, proving that they are actually an elite investigative team returning year after year to dismantle the corrupt academy from the inside.

[Episode Structure🌟]

The narrative begins with Episode 1 acting as a pure introduction to set the baseline rules, establishing the breathtaking daytime paradise of luxury perks and life-skills classes alongside the terrifying nighttime lockdown enforced by the mysterious Owls. From Episodes 2 through 9, the show transitions into a high-stakes student gamble game, where the predatory camera randomly locks onto one specific student as the sole protagonist for that hour. These spotlighted characters operate in complete, terrifying isolation within their own distinct social circles, and their solitary missions end abruptly at 9:00 PM regardless of whether their dark puzzles are solved or left on a dangerous cliffhanger. To survive the night, these students rely on a non-linear network of hidden support, utilizing fleeting micro-interactions during the day—such as a frantic courtyard collision, a shared martial arts sparring match, or a dropped cafeteria napkin—that seem like background noise but are actually calculated hand-offs. Because the timeline is beautifully jumbled, a student in an early episode might hide a book of codes or loosen a library floorboard to leave a vital piece of evidence that a completely different friend will discover and use chapters later. This intricate web of individual terror culminates in Episode 10 with a massive grand finale twist when summer ends and the tracking perimeter powers down. The eight previously spotlighted students walk out of the castle gates acting like total strangers, but as they gather at a nearby bus stop, they completely drop their acts, smile, and reveal to the audience that they are actually a tightly-knit, elite investigative team who engineered the entire season to dismantle the corrupt academy from the inside.
