Hi, wondering if anyone can help me out here.

Im trying to watch on my chromecast but every time i open a video the playback stutters like crazy.

Ive tried disabling and enabling frame rate matching and hardware acceleration.

Tried disabling using developer mode for the chromecast too

Have reinstalled the app, and cleared cache multiple times

Have also tried using each internal player, exo stutters, vlc gives no video playback at all, mpv also stutters

If anyone has any ideas on how i can go about fixing this id REALLY appreciate it.

I should also not i am not having this issue on my apple tv, phone, or pc. Only on the chromecast

Hi guys, as everyone knows the firesticks are a no go right now with Vega OS

Everyone seems to be talking about the Onn in the US, however that's not available here, in the UK they had thompson but you can't get them in Ireland and apparently their distribution went bankrupt.

I assume this Onn is fake, if anyone has any experience how bad is it for just general Stremio use?

For some reason streaming won’t work on my Macbook. I’ve been using it all day and then out of nowhere its just stopped working. I tried on my smart TV and it’s working but its an incredibly slow TV so it still ends up buffering and the sound gets out of sync, so I’d rather use my Macbook. Same account.

I have multiple add-ons so that’s not the issue, I’ve also tested on multiple shows and movies and with/without a VPN active.

I’ve tried completely restarting my MacBook, deleting Stremio and reinstalling the latest version, clearing the cache and yet still no results. Just stuck buffering as it tries to load something.

In settings it says server status is online. Subtitles still load instantly.

How come support for Chrome cast and AirPlay is so bad? Is it not used much?

It's odd but it use to work fine. But now continue watching row doesn't get updated with new watched content. Im using tmdb and never had a problem before with this. Wonder if I should just switch back to cinemata

I didn't know how to word the title better, but I'm having a really weird problem: I'm watching a tv show and, on samsung tv, the sources for the episodes don't show, but only on season 17. and they do show on the laptop and phone. also, they work just fine on the other seasons, but all episodes of season 17, they're just missing. i tried everything up to creating a new account, but nothing worked. does anyone have a similar problem or, hopefully, a solution?

Guys ! Casting to Samsung YlTV doesn't work. I tried from my MacBook as the android app doesn't have the casting feature anymore. Please help.

I’ve been making some changes to my setup and I’m wondering now what the bottleneck is and where I can make improvements to get the most out of Stremio - I’m more interested in quality now over anything. I used to self host a plex server but this is no longer an option for me now and I need to rely on some sort of streaming service. However, I’ve always found the streaming services to not quite have that same level of clarity and crispness to my hosted media? If this is the way it is I will have tk accept it but I don’t know if im missing something.

Currently using:-

Stremio via LG Web OS app
Real Debrid
Gigabit Ethernet
Denon AV receiver
Mission Audio speakers for 5.1 setup

Switching to an LG OLED in the next couple days as im running am 2021 LED panel atm which is less than ideal, but I have seen better performance out of the panel than I get with stremio.

I appreciate why season 14 is also season 11 but it takes days to get each new episode and clicking at random on the hunt for the actual new episode sucks.

I can't find where to disable the "Using streaming server at 127.0.0.1:port" popup. It serves no purpose for me and just blocks the UI for several seconds.

Anyone who knows why the iOS has disappeared from App Store 😔? I just got a new phone and the app is still actice on my old phone but I can’t download it onto my new phone 😔! Is there a way to get it back ?

Anyone else having this problem the past week or so? The auto-play next episode in the settings is turned on but it doesn't do that. When an episode ends it goes back to the menu to choose the torrent of the next episode instead of playing it directly

I got trouble with my Stremio on Tizen. Every movies plays in Hindi or another language sound track but not the original.
I set the default language sound setting in English or Original sound but it doesnt help. I use the same account with same addons on Windows then theres no problem, it just happen on Tizen TV.

I'm looking for a budget steaming box for under 50$. My requirements are:

- Obviously Stremio and other similar apps work without any issues.

- Has Gigabit Ethernet port or USB 3.0 port to connect ethernet adapter.

- No lag or stutter when playing high bitrate contents such as Remux files.

- Supports Dolby vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS (nice to have) without any problem

- HDMI CEC support so it can turn on/off the TV

- Preferably Google TV but Fire TV is also acceptable.

I have an iPhone and really want to use Stremio but I don't want to sideload for safety reasons (I know Stremio is safe, the IPA is safe and everything but I don't want to use external tools and enter my Apple ID info as I have all personal data there). I set up Stremio Web and tried almost all external players, but is it possible to get subtitles from the Stremio addons because so far I could only pull embedded subtitles?

Good evening to you lots. Hope you are having a great day. I had an issue with the stremio version 6.01- beta.09 in my thinkpad laptop. Everytime I try to stream content in it using different addons( which by the way when I use my phone to stream the same addons it works!) It doesn't work, or maybe works then stop mid show and just hangs. Problem aint the wifi because other platforms are working like YouTube etc. Its just stremio. Kindly help me out. Having this weird issue on my android phone, whenever an episode finishes and it autoplays to the next or I skip to the next episode of any show the title and next episode button disappear, is anyone having the same issue and does anyone know how to fix it?

Hi, I'm using the OnePlus buds 3 pro with my Oneplus13 and there is a pretty obvious audio delay. I was wondering if stremio is supposed to have an audio sync feature for Bluetooth devices like that or not. I did an audio sync test for YouTube and it was fine so that's led me to think it's an app issue. Any ideas? I know I can use VCL and do a manual sync but are there any more convenient solutions?

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I’m using:

• M5 Pro MacBook Pro
• macOS 26.6.2
• Stremio 6.0.1-beta.09 ARM
• Hardware accelerated decoding: ON
• No Debrid service, watching directly

My MacBook gets extremely hot while playing movies on Stremio. I previously had an M2 MacBook Air and never had this issue. It would get warm, but nowhere near as hot as the M5 Pro does now.

Could this be an issue with the Stremio player, hardware decoding, or the beta version?

Has anyone else experienced this, and found a solution or workaround?

Sorry, if this has been asked, but can someone explain it in simple terms. Why it’s impossible to install these apps on Intel Macs? I’ve searched on Reddit and abroad, and the more I read the less make sense to me. Should I just give up?
