School promised college would be fun… College had other plans 💀

Middle school: “Study now, enjoy in college.” 😌High school: “Just focus on studies, college will be amazing.” 📚College: “Here’s another assignment.” 💀😭Apparently, the real college experience is just deadlines, assignments, exams, and surviving. 😂

Did college turn out the way you imagined it would? 😭🎓
Or was it completely different?

Looking for international perspectives for a college assignment! 🌎

Hey everyone! I am doing a research project for my International Business class and I am required to reach out to 20 people who are living outside of the United States. I have a couple short questions to ask and it would mean a lot to me if I received some answers from people outside of the United States!

The questions are:

  1. What Country do you live in?
  2. What do you think is the most difficult challenge for U.S. businesses that want to do business in your country?
  3. What advice or suggestions do you have for American companies that want to do business in your country?

Thank you and I look forward to you guys reaching out!

Why do I feel so bad about dropping a class?

I know this course is going to be a lot on top of my core courses, and I know it's only going to cause more uneeded stress... I feel like I'm quitting or being a coward for dropping a class when it's simply the most logical thing to do, which is to focus on my major courses to improve those skillets. I don't know if I'm making sense here, but I have felt horrible knowing I'm going to drop this course.

Hello!

I am working on a project that requires me to understand the level of personalization that exists in entertainment platforms, specifically regarding movies and television shows. Your responses will help me see how to further work with users to create better matches for entertainment recommendations.  I'm interested in understanding how people currently decide what to watch, what influences those decisions, and where the experience can be frustrating or beneficial. This survey should take approximately 3-5 minutes.

Happy answering, and thanks for participating 🎬

*RESPONSES WILL BE KEPT PRIVATE.

What's the one thing you genuinely hate doing every week as a student?

I'm a computer science student building a small tool for students.

I'm not looking for startup ideas — I just want to solve one annoying problem.

What's one task during university that you do every week and genuinely wish was faster or less painful?

Please don't say "AI that does my homework" 😅 I'm more interested in repetitive, frustrating workflows.

Examples:

  • organizing notes
  • finding information across PDFs
  • creating flashcards
  • group projects
  • lab reports

I'll read every comment.

3rd year BS Mathematics student. Should I shift even if it means graduating late?”

I need advice.

And it’s also my fault kung bakit ako napunta sa program na ’to. I chose it; hindi naman ako pinilit ng parents ko. I thought kaya ko siya, and ilang taon ko nang pinipilit i-pursue yung course na ’to, but I can’t anymore. Hindi ko talaga siya feel.

Nakakakonsensya rin mag-shift kasi that means hindi ako gagraduate on time.

College runs on WhatsApp forwards and it’s a mess — is it just me?

Something I keep noticing about college: almost everything runs on chaos.

We find out about a society's recruitment after it closes. There's a good event two colleges away and you hear about it the day after. You want to connect with students outside your campus and there's just... no way to, unless you already know someone or getting connected with people on LinkedIn and waiting to get accepted or getting into their DMs without knowing them. Chasing sponsors for a fest means cold emails and last year's team's contacts.
Everything lives in group forwards and Insta stories that vanish in 24 hr and word of mouth.

Are these a real problems at your college, or does yours handle it fine? And what would you add to the list?

Built a deadline tracker for university students, and open to feedback

I'm an AI major going into senior year. Built EduPlan, It's a web app, lets you log assignments by course, set priority levels, view assignments and tasks on a calendar and use a built in pomodoro timer. Still rough in places, this is a solo project.

https://eduplan-app.pages.dev/ (no account needed to look around)

Would genuinely appreciate people trying it and telling me what's broken or missing and what features I can add in the future.

Andhra University Online BA admission keeps getting delayed

Andhra University Online BA admission keeps getting delayed is this genuine or am I being scammed?
My cousin recently took admission into the Andhra University Online BA program. We initially contacted their counsellors and were told that the new batch would start in July 2026.
Then it became August → September → now October.
Every time we ask the counsellor, we’re given a new expected date. At this point, I’m genuinely starting to doubt whether the admission is legitimate or whether something is wrong.
What makes it more confusing is that the link was reached through the official Andhra University website — you click on the Online Program section and it redirects you to a different website/domain. So initially we assumed everything was legitimate.
I also found a few Reddit discussions where other students seem to have had similar concerns about the Andhra University Online portal and delayed admission confirmation. One recent BA student said they enrolled, waited around two months for confirmation, and eventually received LMS credentials; they believed the online platform was being operated with third-party technology/providers. (Reddit)
So I’d really like to hear from actual Andhra University Online students, especially BA students:
Did your admission also keep getting postponed?
When did your BA batch actually start?
Did you receive an official admission confirmation?
Did you get LMS login credentials?
Which website did you apply through?
Has anyone completed an Andhra University Online degree through this portal?
Is the degree/marksheet issued directly by Andhra University?
Has anyone had problems with recognition or verification later?
I’m not trying to accuse anyone of running a scam. I just want to make sure my cousin hasn’t paid for something that isn’t genuine.
If you are currently enrolled in Andhra University Online BA, please share your experience.
