Hi, I wanted to ask for your advice on the 2015 Subaru Impreza. It has 127k miles on it and seller wants 5.5k for it. I am planning on checking it out and taking a mechanic with me.

Carfax report says no accidents and the car looks clean with no visible damage.
I hope to keep it through my college years so 4-5 yrs at minimum.

I wanted y'alls thoughts on this purchase. I don't know much about cars, other than googling about the car and common issues.
Any information would be much appreciated!

Hey guys! I just bought my first ever Subaru today, a 2026 Impreza Sport with only 2k miles on it. I’m a biggg VW/Audi guy (especially the TDIs), having owned 3 German cars previously, but I decided I need something more reliable. So here I am!

Tried to bolt my engine on with the torque converter in the wrong orientation. Snap ring took the brunt of it but the converter sleeve shaft did take some damage. Can it still be used with a new snap ring or do I need to get a whole new one? Luckily the torque converter and transmission seem to be ok.

Just got this beauty not to long ago, what’s some things I can do to prolong its lifetime.

Hey everyone, I noticed a couple weeks ago that my exhaust was sounding strange. The photos show what it currently looks like. My question is: do you think I can replace the exhaust and muffler on my own? And also, what’s the best source for parts (I don’t want the cheapest option, but also I’m poor lol) TIA!

I'm building a rally car, and per class rules, all wings must be factory options in Canada. I'm not sure if I need to take off the roof vane as well or not.

What years, models, and countries was it available in?

2022 Impreza Hatchback, has check engine light popped up 2 days after filling the tank. Code is P0455

~48000km, Car drives very normally as usually. Without clearing the code myself, I tightened the gas cap and drive for more than 100km, check engine light still there.

Gas cap looks very normal to me (or I just dont know how to inspect?), had a shop put on another gas cap from another impreza, they said check engine light still popped up,

I am very new to car and what should I do/inspect/diagnose next? Would this be something still under warranty- checked warranty booklet, very less likely.

What would it possibly be other than gas cap?

Rear Emblem plastic piece on 2011 Impreza. I was fighting with the license plate light bulb covers and cracked something under this piece and now it is loose and wobbles. Does anyone have the parts diagram so I can figure out what's loose and start ordering parts?

Need to swap out my original shafts soon, and am kind of dreading the whole procedure. I've swapped out CV's before on my previous car (1997 Toyota Starlet) with separator forks, and the whole ordeal sucked.

Any tips or advice for me? I still have the pair of separator forks, along with another single fork that's more suited for smaller shafts.

Ive been looking around other forums and I found out that you can fit (with some tweaks) a brz/86 exhaust on a 2012-2015 Impreza wagon. I was wondering if there was anyone who had done or knows how to do I would greatly appreciate the help, because I can’t find an exhaust I like that directly made for the car.

My Subaru was in a crash and I'm looking for parts; I came across this option (it's JDM). I'm not sure if it's a 2016 model, though it looks like one. What caught my eye, however, is that it has headlight washers and the headlights are different—they look like projector-style lights. Would this be a good buy?

My other option is to buy the bumper except the headlights at half price and purchase the left headlight separately (I've included the original photo of the car showing the halogen lights from before I modified it).

i'm a new-ish driver with very little knowledge on diagnosing problems in cars. i can read all i want, but i won't be able to tell if the guts are in good condition when i test drive it.

my concerns so far:

1) poor maintenance on transmission

2) wear on engine due to low oil levels

3) head gasket about to blow

4) general poor maintenance

how can i tell? sounds, smells, visual wear, delays, etc

what other known problems should i watch out for?

and is it normal to not have any maintenance records to show potential buyers?

hey guys i’ve swapped my 2004 impreza rs from an NA ej25 to a ej257 turbo, can anyone recommend an affordable ECU? i have full custom wiring harness.

I’m at 180000ks I’ve had it for ages, I’ve noticed loss of power in acceleration. When starting from a hill start my acceleration clunks out. Forgive me i don’t know anything about cars that much but there is like a ticking like tch coming from the engine bay only after driving for a while and is only heard when stationary and outside of car.

I’m on stock suspension on my Hawkeye and like colours like hyper silver and am considering deep dish style but any suggestions are good and also I have a budget of 1500aud

Had to have my 2013 Subaru Impreza limited towed to the dealership the other day for some warranty work. Told the person on the phone it was AWD and what car it was so I needed a flat bed or Dollie’s and they said no problem.

Tow truck driver shows up and doesn’t want to put down Dollie’s and says “in 15 years I’ve never damaged an automatic AWD transmission just dragging it on the back wheels.” I didn’t want to be an ass but made him out down dollies.

Was I being unreasonable or did I make the right call?
