Laptop Deal Should I wait?

Everyday I wake up to see prices TOUCH THE ROOF. My Masters starts this month although it doesn't mean I have to buy after it starts. My field is business. The old laptop has been mauled to death (bought in 2016).

Info:

Country- Ind

Budget- ₹60-₹70K (80K stretchable)

$600-$700

Use Case:

  1. Moderate Editing ( Premier Pro , No AE/Blender )

  2. Run Virtual AI (I reckon it's not gonna be possible in ts budget)

3.Gaming (I fn love gaming. 4 months ago I really believed it won't be a problem with such a budget)

Games: AAA Games, CS2, R6S, MC

  1. Normal College stuff (not heavy)

Will I regret waiting for Amazon/Flipkart Sale (Diwali Sale)

What other options I can opt for (never bought refurbished so idh much idea)

I mean for your editing needs unless super heavy you won’t need a beefy laptop
Virtual ai though are you like planning to run ai llms locally or sm?
For gaming 60-70kish would probably get u a nice f15 🤔
4. Any gaming laptop can do normal college stuff although it’s the weight I’m concerned about are you okay with a heavy laptop which prob needs a charger with you all day?

Thing with waiting is
The market is so unpredictable rn that even I can’t really give you a yes or no, cauz
1) the offer actually gives great value
Or
2) the pricing has increased so much or sum shi that negates the discount

Why I say so (this just what I have inferred from the market and from my personal experience)
1)I’ve heard and I am quoting this from the ceo of SK Hynix (one of the three bigs like micron and Samsung) said that the memory supply shortage could persist through 2030, and earlier predicted 2027 could be the worst supply year in the industry’s history.
2) personally I love my laptop and was about to recommend the same laptop to a friend but when he tried to order it a month later it was almost 68% increase in price for ram and ssd upgrade

BUT

This doesn’t mean you’re doomed or sum shi if you wait but the markets so unstable I genuinely can’t provide a real answer rn. And if someone can, they’re either larping or they do black magic to see the future

That's the exact thing I'm dealing with In a recent sale i saw a Lenovo LOQ at 1,35,000 which was its price 3 months ago but 3 months ago if there were a sale then someone would've bought it even more cheaper Ts has fried my brain so hard that I needed sum second opinions cz I'm doomed for 4 another 4 years if I can't make the right call rn Btw Do you think buying refurbished is a good deal rn? Or buy sum old ThinkPad then upgrade the shi Outta them

Brotha if u think you can “upgrade later” these days you’re very mistaken because the ram prices are anything but certain rn

I mean you could go for used laptops but then you have to be tech savvy enough to like test everything like benchmark, compare it to same model under ideal conditions and if it’s stable and if there’s damage and if the battery is good and all that
