I’m looking for an upgrade for my new T480s’ speakers. I’ve been able to modify pretty much everything else in the machine, but the speakers are alluding. I love everything about the computer, but the stock speakers absolutely suck. Seems like lots of people have done retrofits but none of them have guides. I’ve been working with ChatGPT and it recommended the speakers from the X1 carbon GEN seven (model 5SB0V98078)** **The only hiccup I’ve perceived is that the X1 speakers are for channels with a woofer and a tweeter but I’m using fedora and ChatGPT seems to think that there are already some Lennox drivers that could compensate for this. I’m willing to do some splicing to make it work. I’m fairly new to the Lenovo ThinkPad community so any advice is appreciated.

It came with a ssd drive and I had swapped for a Samsung ssd and bought total of 8gb of ram for the machine to max it out. I also found a Lenovo charger at my job and the battery STILL HOLDS a Charge. I spent many hours and no sleep nights to find and oem windows 7 image to install on it can’t wait to have it die on windows 7

Getting a Thinkpad just don’t know which one to go with for the carbon I was thinking Gen 9 or just getting the T480 if I want to upgrade the ram but I will be using the laptop for Network Engineering work (Cisco Packet Tracer) and just casual browsing the web and YouTube some coding.. any recommendations?
