We've been going to Undead in the Water at the Victory Ship in downtown for years, and we love it.
Looking to do some other spooky Halloween stuff this year, but not at the theme parks. What other things have you been to? Were they worth the money?

I have a very large (beautiful) 1940’s mahogany breakfront I’m trying to sell. But if my efforts fail, I’m looking for charities that will pick up a very large piece of furniture like that.
Any ideas?
South Hillsborough county. Posting here because you are the closest active subreddit I’ve found. Thanks!

Is it me or is there an usually high number of double rainbows here in the bay area. I have been living here for over 20 years and I cannot think of one single time that I saw a single rainbow. even when I think I am seeing a single one, I lol closer and see the second fainter one one be it, like in the photo here.
It's one of my favorite things about living in tampa.

Hi! I’m looking for natural emerald and ruby beads for necklaces, preferably from Indian-style jewelry or bead shops.
Any recommendations for Florida stores, gemstone dealers, bead shops, or gem shows? I’m especially interested in Tampa, Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona, Orlando, or nearby areas. I’d appreciate vendor suggestions for good quality and reasonable prices

I have ear pressure issues and am looking to go to an ENT but there are so many choices if doctors. Does anyone have any recommendations for ENT?

Can anyone recommend good PCPs in the eastern side of Hillsborough County (Brandon / Seffner / Plant City / Valrico) or even Wesley Chapel / Zephyrhills?
I want a good doctor but also a system that reserves spots for sick visits, if that’s a thing for adults?
My current PCP is with Tampa General Medical Group and he’s great but it is literally impossible to get in apart from the annual physical.

I was hyped up to try this place after hearing other people talk about it, and seeing the lines of cars around it.
I tried the Fowler location a few days ago, and it wasn’t very good. Yea, it’s cheap fast food, but with the amount of hype, I was expecting something slightly better.
The fries were just ok. You could tell the frying oil hadn’t been changed in a while (not sure when they’d have time to change it, but maybe they have different fryers they can use? IDK I don’t work in fast food).
The onion rings and strawberry shake were probably the best thing in the bunch and were good.
The “hamburger” I got was so greasy, overcooked and leathery. I’ve never in my life had bacon that was stringy like that. I had one bite and threw it away.
That being said, the employees there didn’t seem like they were completely dead, were very helpful, and fast.
Overall, I’d give it a 3 to 4 out of 10. I’d compare the food experience to Sonic. Will probably try it again once business dies down and they’ve worked out the kinks, but definitely won’t be having a burger.

Rays fans are two big steps closer to having a baseball stadium in Tampa. The Tampa City Council and Hillsborough County Commission both approved the Rays’ proposed stadium deal last week. In back-to-back votes, the local governments agreed — they want to build a stadium in Tampa. The Rays now have momentum after their deal spiraled into uncertainty earlier this year. The funding agreement has a few conditions that need to be met before public dollars can go toward the project. They revolve around a community benefit agreement that the city, county and Rays have yet to negotiate. A few more layers of approval are needed to access county funding sources. As celebrations continue, here are some takeaways after last week’s votes: https://www.tampabay.com/sports/rays/2026/09/01/rays-stadium-vote-hillsborough-cit-tampa-hillsborough-college/

Not the crime tag you want, but if you live in the area east of RayJay, their dirty mitts love taking mail from mailboxes with raised red-flags. The individual was identified as a white male mid 30's with wavy dark hair
