[Looking for job] Any small business or Agency looking for skilled web developer?

Upvotes

Hello,

I have 3 years of experience currently as a Website Developer / SEO Specialist in WordPress under agency(full-time), but I am preferring React and can do pretty much everything now --

I'm here to find some remote small jobs as side projects, so I can fund other side projects 😄

For small businesses I can work really cheap, but I need steady monthly income. We are talking about $100/mo as base and anything above it 30% would go to my work and 70% would go to marketing, I would obviously report everything.

For agency I could work only part-time.

Work needed to be done? contact us (student verified)

I'm a student at UT and I'm testing a service that connects Tampa Bay homeowners with local students for small jobs around the house. Things most people put off for months:

• Yard cleanup and debris hauling

• Moving furniture or clearing out a garage

• Furniture assembly

• Getting stuff to the dump or to Goodwill

• Pressure washing prep and general labor

• Basic help on move in or move out day

How it works: you tell me what you need and roughly when. I send you a price and a payment link. If it works for you, I match you with someone nearby and they show up. Every person doing the work passes a background check.

Being honest about where this is: I'm still in the early testing phase, so I'm handling every job personally instead of through an app. That's on purpose. It means you can text me directly if anything goes wrong.

Most jobs land in the one to three hour range and price accordingly. Ask about anything, I'll tell you straight if it's not something I can cover yet.

GECS GovCon / BidStrike / GECS Cleaning / Growth & Expansion Capital Services

I recently saw job listings for sales positions with Growth & Expansion Capital Services in the Tampa Bay area and other parts of Florida. Before accepting a position with this company, do your research and proceed with caution. Multiple former employees and contractors are still waiting to be paid for work they completed, and the company continues advertising new positions. Would not recommend. Beware.

Looking for people who want to make money doing odd jobs around Tampa

Sign up here: https://tally.so/r/b5RbV6

Takes about two minutes. Everything else is below if you want the details first.

I'm a student at UT building a platform that connects Tampa Bay homeowners with local people for small tasks. Yard cleanup, hauling, furniture assembly, garage organizing, moving help, pressure washing prep, general help around the house.

Being upfront: the app isn't live yet. Right now I'm matching people manually while I test demand. That means it's early and volume is not guaranteed, but the first people in get first pick of jobs.

How it works:

• Homeowner books and pays upfront, I send you the job details

• You take what you want and skip what you don't. No schedule, no minimum.

• Most jobs run one to three hours

• You get paid after the homeowner confirms the work is finished

• Independent contractor work, so taxes are on you

What I need:

• Transportation

• Ability to pass a background check

• Showing up on time, every time. That is genuinely the whole bar.

• Your own tools, truck, or trailer are a bonus, not a requirement

Good fit if you're a student trying to make money between classes or anyone who wants flexible weekend work.

Form again: https://tally.so/r/b5RbV6

Happy to answer questions in the comments, including about the business itself.

How much does exact phrasing actually matter on a resume? (My experience so far)

I kept seeing recruiters on here say they're not auto-rejecting people with ATS—they're just skimming applications for 5 seconds. If the match isn't obvious right away, they move on.

I started running my resume against JDs before applying (just using basic scanners like ZoeVera or whatever free site popped up). Turns out I actually had most of the required experience, I was just phrasing it totally differently than what they were looking for. Rewording things so the overlap is immediately obvious has definitely gotten me more responses. Nothing crazy but it's a noticeable difference compared to just firing off the exact same resume everywhere.

For anyone else grinding applications, what small formatting or wording tweaks actually helped you get past the initial skim?

Looking for Commercial Apprenticeship opportunities in Tampa area!

Hey everyone, im interested in getting into being a electrican and looking for a commercial apprenticeship opportunity. I turn 18 in December which I know I cant start until then, but im trying to have something setup and worked out with a company. I graduated from Largo High School with honors early, so I can work the day I turn 18 fulltime or even before if we could work that out with all the labor laws and stuff. I have a amazing work ethic and am really excited to get into this sort of thing. Im willing to go to school, im pretty sure I’ve been told most apprenticeships is 2 days a week thats absolutely not a problem. I would have done schooling its just that I’d rather be paid on the job whilst learning and have my classes paid for by my apprenticeship program. So if you know of a good company for me to give a call message me or if your company is offering this opportunity and is looking for people please send me a message!

Thanks for reading through!

[HIRING] In-Person Health Insurance Sales Opportunity | Tampa | Training Provided

Hey Tampa! I help with recruiting for The Six Figure Room, a health insurance sales team here in Tampa.

We're currently meeting with candidates who are interested in getting into sales or making a career change. Previous health insurance or sales experience is not required — we're more interested in people who are driven, comfortable talking to people, willing to learn, and looking for a growth-focused career.

A few important details upfront:

📍 In-person position in Tampa, FL
💼 Health insurance sales
📚 Training and mentorship provided
🪪 Licensing assistance provided — we help guide you through the licensing process and may help cover licensing costs
🚗 You must be able to reliably commute to our Tampa office
📈 Opportunity for growth and leadership based on performance

Instead of asking you to commit to a traditional interview without knowing much about the opportunity, we invite interested candidates to come into the office, meet the team, see the environment, and learn how the position works before deciding whether they want to move forward.

You'll have a chance to:

• Meet the team
• See the office and work environment
• Learn what health insurance advisors actually do
• Understand the licensing and training process
• Learn what the day-to-day career path looks like
• Ask questions
• Meet with leadership if there's mutual interest in moving forward

This isn't a remote position, and I don't want to mislead anyone about what the role is. If you're specifically looking for a non-sales position, this probably isn't the right fit.

But if you're in Tampa and interested in sales, business development, or building a long-term career, feel free to message me or check us out here:

https://thesixfigureroom.com/

Happy to answer questions in the comments too.

[HIRING] Caregiver for Elderly Grandfather – Zephyrhills/Wesley Chapel – $15–$20/hr

My family is looking for a dependable caregiver to help care for my grandfather at his home in the Zephyrhills/Wesley Chapel area (33541).

Pay: $15–$20/hour depending on experience
Primary schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 9 AM–5 PM
Also hiring: Weekend and backup/relief caregivers

We are hoping to build a small team, so part-time applicants are welcome and you do not need to be available every weekday.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Companionship and supervision
  • Meal preparation
  • Medication reminders
  • Light housekeeping related to his care
  • Mobility assistance and helping him stay active
  • General assistance with daily activities/personal care as needed

CNA, HHA, nursing students, pre-nursing/healthcare students, and experienced private caregivers are all encouraged to reach out. Certification isn't required for the right person.

We're looking for someone reliable, patient, comfortable working independently in a private home, and able to provide references/background information.

This is direct employment with our family — not a staffing agency or home-care company.

If interested, please send me a Reddit DM with:

  • Your availability
  • Caregiving/healthcare experience
  • Any CNA/HHA/CPR/BLS certifications
  • Whether you're interested in weekday, weekend, or backup work
  • Your desired hourly rate

Thanks!

Actively [Hiring] Software Engineer: Contract Intelligence

I am posting this here because part of our product team is in the Tampa area and there is real value in meeting up for coffee, a sandwich, or a beer when trying to work through problems.

**Software Engineer: Contract Intelligence**

  • Term: 3-6 month contract, option to go permanent. Flexible hours, we care about output, not a timesheet.
  • Location: Remote US
  • Rate: tell us yours. We're benchmarking this role and would rather hear your number than lowball a band.
  • Structure: 1099 or C2C preferred.

We read provider-payer contracts, compile their payment terms into an executable rate model, and replay historical claims against it to find where facilities are being underpaid. You'd extend it.

What the work actually is:

  • Interpreters, rules engines, query planners, and pricing/adjudication engines are the relevant experience.
  • Full-stack: C#/.NET 10, raw SQL (no ORM), TypeScript + React. You drive features end to end: schema, repository, endpoint, screen, tests.
  • Applied LLM work: we fine-tune and self-host with constrained JSON output. Training data, eval harnesses, and the code that turns a model answer into something deterministic and auditable, or routes it to a human.
  • Preferred but not required: Healthcare revenue cycle: 837/835, CPT/HCPCS, Medicare fee schedules, managed care terms (per diem, DRG, carve-outs, lesser-of, stop-loss).

This is early enough that the person who takes it will help shape what gets built, not just implement it. Bring opinions.

Every number this system emits is a dollar figure someone acts on. We hire for engineers who instrument for their own errors and design the path for a human to catch them.

Stealth-6 builds local, cloud-independent AI for regulated environments (https://stealth-6.com/). This role is for a new product line.

If you or someone you know is interested, DM me or email [careers@stealth-6.com](mailto:careers@stealth-6.com) with links to anything you've built that's shaped like this or a resume.

The Resume Doesn’t Test Whether You Can Do the Job. It Tests Whether a Machine Agrees You Can.

www.zoevera.com/resume is part of ZoeVera’s career tools at zoevera.com.

She had run paid campaigns across three platforms, cut cost-per-lead in half at her last two roles, and managed a budget bigger than most of the teams she was applying to join. Fourteen years in marketing. She updated the resume once, sent it to every posting that matched her title, and waited.

Nothing came back. Not a rejection, not a request for a call. Just the kind of silence that makes you start rereading your own resume for typos that aren’t there, because a typo would at least be something you could fix.

The resume was not weak. It was written in the wrong language. She had “managed paid advertising” on the page. The postings said “demand generation.” She had “campaign budget management.” They said “Google Ads” and “programmatic buying.” Same fourteen years, same work, different words — and the system reading her resume before any person did was matching words, not experience. A recruiter might have translated one phrase into the other without thinking twice. The software that screens most applications now doesn’t translate. It scores what’s on the page against what’s in the posting, and moves on.

That’s the part nobody tells you when they say “just tailor your resume.” Tailor it to what? You can’t see the posting’s scoring logic, and rereading your own document tells you nothing about how a machine is parsing it. You know your work. You don’t know the fourteen ways an applicant tracking system might fail to recognize it.

Resume ZoeVera checks that gap before you apply, not after you’ve already sent forty versions of the same mismatch. Paste the resume and the job description, and it reports your match score against that specific posting, with the exact terms the listing uses that your resume doesn’t — no signup, no credit card, results in under thirty seconds. It also flags the things a keyword match alone won’t catch: whether the role is remote when you need remote, whether it wants a clearance or a license you don’t hold, before you spend an evening on an application that was never going to clear that filter. A rewrite that folds the missing language into your existing bullets — not invented accomplishments, your own experience in the posting’s words — comes with a plan: $12 for a day, $19 for thirty days, or $39 for unlimited use over thirty days, no subscription either way. It covers 47+ roles and industries, each with its own vocabulary, from software engineering to nursing to marketing.

Her experience never changed. The words did. The third posting she ran through it came back missing “demand generation” and “marketing automation platform” — two phrases she’d used for a decade of work without ever calling it that. She rewrote two bullets, sent it Tuesday, had a call scheduled by Friday.

www.zoevera.com/resume is part of ZoeVera’s career tools at zoevera.com, alongside prepare.zoevera.com for interview prep once the resume is the thing getting you in the room.

any Jobs in Wesley chapel, Florida

I just moved from California and it seems like almost no where is hiring I’ve applied to many places and haven’t heard back from any. Even Waffle House didn’t hire me😭 i worked security previously but I only have my CA guard card since I just moved here & also applied to security jobs .I also have customer service and retail experience so I know it isn’t a lot but you think low end places would hire atleast. I have a little office admin experience I have separate resumes for all I apply for obviously so it doesn’t look like I job hop but I’ve just moved between 3 different states within the last 3 years. Does anyone know anywhere that is urgently hiring in Wesley Chapel FL? Even Zephryhills or Lutz. Any entry level positions or willing to train upon hire roles? I’m a 23W with only a HS diploma.

Relocating to Tampa: looking for Operations / Program Management opportunities

Hey everyone,

I'm planning to relocate from Massachusetts to the Tampa area by the end of this year and figured I'd reach out here as part of my job search.

My background is primarily in operations, program/project management, continuous improvement and business transformation. I'm currently a Director of Operations for a local company, and before that I've worked in program/project management roles for large companies, generally big names in their industries.

I'm keeping the title pretty open for the move. Director of Operations, Senior Operations Manager, Program Manager, PMO, Continuous Improvement, Strategy/Transformation, etc. I'm much more interested in finding the right company and scope than chasing a specific title.

I've already started applying to positions around Tampa and networking where I can, but I'm still learning the local market. I'd especially love to hear about companies that might not immediately come up when searching LinkedIn/Indeed.

So, for people familiar with the Tampa job market:

  • Are there companies around here you'd recommend looking into for this type of background?
  • Any local recruiters or staffing firms worth talking to?
  • Any industries that are particularly strong for operations/program management in Tampa?
  • And of course, if you know of a company or team that's hiring for something along these lines, I'd love to hear about it.

I'm relocating regardless, so this isn't a "maybe Florida someday" situation. Just trying to get ahead of the move and hopefully have something lined up before I get there. I'm also fairly flexible on location, like anywhere in a 50 mile radius from Tampa is definitely the target area.

Appreciate any leads or advice!

Healthcare professional transitioning careers

Hey everyone! I’m relocating to the Tampa/St. Pete area and currently looking for a new career opportunity as I transition away from direct healthcare.
I have several years of experience in clinical environments, including working as an EMT, ER Patient Care Technician, and Medical Scribe, along with experience in training, leadership, customer service, and team management.

I have a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Psychology.
I’m open to a variety of industries and particularly interested in roles where my people skills can transfer well.

I’m a quick learner, comfortable working with people, and not afraid of a fast-paced environment. Ideally looking for a full-time opportunity in the Tampa/St. Pete area.

If anyone knows of a company hiring or has a connection they’d be willing to share, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
