is this a cavity? getting braces this month

I had my wisdom tooth pulled and I know there was an infection but what is this black/grey sand like substance that was under my gums aheared to it?

It Is forming on the surfaces of the tooth growing out not in like a typical cavity.

Just noticed this today and thought it was a popcorn kernel, tried to use my nail to get it off and that definitely hurt. It doesn’t hurt to eat or drink though, or just on its own it’s fine. What could this be?

I realise I have a big cavity on my tooth (currently waiting to see dentist), but i am just wondering does anyone have any idea if there is a possibility this tooth could be saved?

I do floss and water floss once and brush twice a day, am I not doing a good job at it? I don’t drink anything besides water acidic food rarely last time deep cleaning ,may, my dentist insisted that I don’t have enamel problem or boneloss problem I’m so scared of gum disease since 2024 it’s been like this red and puffy gums it’s gets better a little after deep cleanings but never fully recover

So I was just brushing my teeth like normal and noticed a weird black line near my gums in the mirror. Idk what it is. Googled it, but couldn't really find an answer. Does anyone know what it could be?

Hey guys, I’m looking for some advice.

I’ve been having tooth pain that started in late June. At first, I thought maybe my sinuses were inflamed because I also had a cold at the time. I’ve never had any sinus problems before, but I was experiencing pressure in my head around my sinuses, especially around my nose and above my upper teeth. The pressure was only on the left side, which is why I thought it might be related to my sinuses.

At the same time, I started having pain in my upper gum around my teeth. Eventually, the pain became more focused on one specific tooth. At one point, it was so painful that I couldn’t even touch the tooth, and it felt like the tooth was loose or wobbly.
I went to my dentist twice, and she said that everything looked normal. She even took X-rays but couldn’t see anything wrong. She thought it could possibly have been related to the flu or some kind of infection.

The pain I was experiencing was a severe, pulsating, almost shredding/throbbing pain that would last around 10–15 minutes and then become less intense. I also had pain in that specific tooth whenever I drank water or anything else, whether it was cold or warm. It sometimes felt as if the sensation went straight through the tooth, almost like there was a hole in it and the nerve was exposed.

Thankfully, I don’t have that severe pain anymore. However, I still feel like the tooth doesn’t quite feel right or like it isn’t sitting properly. I also sometimes feel a slight pulsating sensation in the tooth, although it’s nowhere near the same level of pain I had about 1.5 months ago.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be or what kind of help I should seek? I’m a bit worried since the X-rays didn’t show anything abnormal.

Is this somthing to worry about? It's the inner top side of my mouth thanks.

Hello, since Friday, after eating chips in the evening, I’ve had pain in my gum along with a bump. I can also see what looks like a small white bump..

It has been hurting since Friday. It isn’t getting swollen, but it still hurts. Do you think it could be something other than irritation? And how can I relieve the pain? There are no dentists available where I am.

Whenever I find a toothpick, I will take a couple and spend about 45 minutes rubbing around each tooth -up and down and side to side and under the gums. I don't do this often, like maybe every 3 months, and I do it mostly because it feels good.

I got to thinking that maybe I am doing damage or something that isn't great for my teeth. It's always a wood toothpick that is only sharp for about the first 3 minutes of the experience.

I have the toothpicks right now and am waiting to hear if this is something I should stop doing or not.

I had a root canal done on this tooth 2 month ago. The gum above it is still the same, like a bump and swollen. The endodontist said to wait 9 months to see if the bone heals and that apicoectomy may be needed. He said even with apicoectomy, there is still a chance the bone and gum may not heal completely and I need to get an implant. I really don't want to get an implant. Will I need am implant?
