Wardrobe

Hey folks , so ive soon been 3 months on T , my voice has dropped, bottom growth going strong, unwanted chest hairs are starting to show themselves :/ all is well life is good. However. I am outgrowing all of my clothes. This isnt water retention because theres no bloat in my legs. My breasts also seem to have grown since starting T. Wtf is going on? I fit literally none of my pants except for a single pair and gym shorts. I wasnt skinny pre T. I was more so ‘slim thicc’ of hour glass built with a fit top body and arms and thicc downstairs. Is T making my ass fatter or have my quads outgrown my entire body? Tf goin on? Has anyone else experienced this? Its making me crazy dysforic mand making me late for work every morning due to wardrobe stress.

Finally growing out my beard for a couple months to see how it’s doing. But I took some update pics and compared them to the first one I took at 1 day and felt so euphoric I had to share. Cheers 🍻 (Ignore the way it appears flat on one side of the goatee lol. I’d just washed my face and didn’t brush it out right.)

More belly fat

I’ve been on T started in January this year and I started injections last month and its also a higher dose. Ive noticed lately my stomach fat is kind of bigger lately.

The thing is I do lift weights at the gym and also do cardio, I’m 5’7 135. I also don’t eat junk food (just once in a while a burger or something). So I definitely feel pudgier lately even with my usual routine

Is this something you guys experienced too? Does it even out eventually or should I expect my fat to gether here a lot?

Celebratory Update: doses don’t matter guys, levels do

Hey all! I posted a question on here a couple months ago when I first started T about whether my starting dose (20mg/week IM injections) was abnormally low (https://www.reddit.com/r/TestosteroneKickoff/s/99wMYRJFxf). Most people said yes. While that may be the case, I wanted to come back and reassure people in the same boat that that doesn’t mean your levels won’t go up fast on a small dose! Mine went from 0.5 to 10.5 nmol/L after a month on my starting dose, after which I increased to 30mg/week. I don’t have another level check until November but my doctor and I were both super happy and surprised I was in cis range (albeit very low cis range) after a month on the microdose.

Since then changes have progressed pretty well for two and a half months and I’m very happy with where I’m at!

Celebratory unknowingly doubled my PR

as the title says, i think i just doubled multiple pre-t prs without even knowing. for context, im about 10 months on t.

pre-t i went to the gym regularly, but over the last year i’ve moved across the country, done work and school full time, and didn’t have much time for fitness.

but i recently quit my job and have gotten back into running and lifting. i’ve blown my pre-t running prs out of the water, and i just went to the gym to lift for the first time since starting t.

my last lat pulldown pr was around 70, today i did 4 reps of 105. my chest was equally rough, with my old pr being about 60-65. today i did 7 reps of 100. testosterone is a hell of a drug lol. super excited to build more progress off of this!

Discussion Weekly or biweekly dosing

Hey everyone
I’m newly prescribed, but I want to ask about your dosage and how often it is

I was prescribed 1mL every two weeks intramuscular. (200Mg/mL)
I am seeing people say that weekly is better for them, so I was wondering if I should make it .5mL a week instead to keep the hormones stabilized?

Thanks in advance!

first picture is pre T and second is now a year on T. I feel like nothing changed at all and i still look feminine. I have problems with facial hair growth (which is one of my biggest wishes so that sucks) and i feel i gained more weight to make me look even more feminine.

Questions Voice Drop Symptoms

What were some of the symptoms you first noticed before or during your voice dropping?

Since starting T I've had a sore throat and no other symptoms. It's been 8 weeks. I've read it could be part of the symptoms. But curious if anyone else has had this as well?

Voice progression 3 wks vs. 7 mo!

I don't have a pre-T voice recording bc I got lazy and never recorded one, so 3 weeks is the earliest one I have, but fwiw I didn't even start noticing voice cracks until 5/6 months, so I guess the 3 week video can be taken sort of as a pre-T one. Please keep in mind that my voice started dropping a little on the later side, I started noticing voice cracks at around 5 or 6 months, but my actual voice didn't start dropping until around 6 1/2 months, so the difference may not be too awful drastic. Once I hit the 6 month mark with no voice droppage I was starting to get scared bc my doctor said that it would start within 3-6 months, and I was scared of never getting any voice droppage bc mine started dropping a little bit past the later end of that scale. But now I'm happy to say that I've finally noticed my voice actually dropping a little bit! I'm just shy of 7 months actually, I'll be hitting my 7 months in 2 days, but I figured since the most recent entry was closer to 7 months than 6, that I should register it as a 7 month voice entry. Also I know I'm shirtless in the 7 month entry, I actually have not had top surgery or really any gender affirming surgeries yet, but I had a very small chest before T, and around 6 months in the testosterone fat redistribution did its thing and made my chest smaller to the point where it looks ALMOST like a cis man's. Anyway, that's my 3 week vs. 7 month voice entry!!

Questions Can/should I up my dose without asking my doctor?

I know this sounds stupid as all hell, but I promise the context makes it less so! At least…I think it does? Maybe I am delusional with grief—you tell me!

I will be on T for 7 months in a week, and just got my 6 month blood test results back.

-My dosage is .2mL 1x a week, 200mg/1mL, Cypionate. I take my shot on Saturday, and got my blood drawn on a Wednesday.
-My levels are 213 ng/dL, which is not even close to where I’d like to be. I’ve been feeling like my progress was much slower than I’d like, and now I know I wasn’t just psyching myself out.

My next appointment with my pcp is at the end of October, but I get my blood drawn and tested again sometime in the next month, and would have access to those numbers in that time between.

My question, really, is: Is it reasonably safe to adjust my dose a TINY amount (.05-.1mL?) to see if those numbers climb at all before my appointment? I’m feeling really discouraged by that 213; like these 7 months have been a waste, and I’ll be essentially starting from scratch once I do up my dose.

Questions How realistic is it to start T on my 18th?

I've recently (an hour ago) Been made aware of informed consent being a way to get T without jumping through an obstacle course, and I have a planned parenthood pretty close by that does HRT related things. Just wondering how realistic it is for me to be able to get T that close to my 18th, working on getting enough money to be able to cover it right now considering Medicaid doesnt cover shit in my state. I've heard from plenty of guys on some of the other similar subreddits saying they were able to get their blood done, answer a few questions, agree to the medication, and then walk out with it same day. Doesnt even really make a difference if its within the week-month as long as I'd be able to get it as soon as possible, only issue is I dont know what my transportation situation will be by then considering I dont have a car as of now. Is it possible if I just lock in for this final year?

Celebratory I just started T! Joyful rambling and some questions 💉🎉

I (19) started T yesterday. I'm feeling really good and hyped up even though my parents dont know yet, I'm not sure when will I tell them. My older brother and sister know and are supportive which helps a lot. They both are super excited for me and it makes me feel so great! In general I feel so good mentally, I no longer feel hopeless about the future, I even quit smoking about a week ago and this time I think I actually got the motivation to do this. I feel so euphoric its actually insane!

Also I got some questions if anyone knows about anything lol

So I'm working in a pretty physical job, will that affect my transition or more likely will T affect my working somehow? I know it makes gaining muscle easier so could my job become easier for me?

What happens if I dont eat enough? I got pretty bad appetite and I have to constantly remind myself to eat or I will accidentally skip meals. I've heard T can make you hungry so I'm actually hoping for that!

And lastly, I'm also trying to quit caffeine atm so do you guys think it will affect my transition at all? I'm not sure but in general I think quitting or even just drinking less caffeine will be good for my body!

I hope everyone has a good week ^__^

Questions Hunger in T + adhd combo

Did anyone here struggle with eating enough because of adhd before taking t? Did anything change after starting?

I am completely unscientificly expecting that on one hand i will finally eat enough once starting t and on the other hand feel overly confident in not going to suffer the constant hunger of t since i am very used to the physical sense of hunger with no desire to eat.
