This looks like one of those intentionally submerged planes because it has so much room inside and happens to be shallow enough have light coming in through the windows.

It definitely is. I think it might be one I dove at in a flooded quary in new Jersey. They had a whole ‘playground’ down there including large plane, school busses, etc. it’s where I got cave diving certified

Edit: I stand corrected. This is in the Red Sea. Definitely not NJ

Edit 2: the dive site is not in New Jersey, it’s in PA.

Oh hey I grew up very close to this place! You would never know there was a quarry hiding back there from the road. And I remember how the local buddies were mad when it got sold!

So is it intentionally submerged or?

Yup… no clue on the whole thought process, how one decides they need to sink a plane for scuba diving… but regardless the plane did not crash.
It was a great place to learn how to do cave diving and rope rescues at low risk

Yea the ultra wide corridor in that plane makes absolutely no sense.

New design of passenger aircraft to increase capacity.. Provides more standing room...

Must be Ryanair

12

u/norsurfit 1d ago

They should put a bunch of fake skeletons wearing sunglasses in the passenger seats...

Don't eat the berries

Funny how the saying works perfectly fine today in America. Blueberries might kill you here right now.

Read it? Brother we had to dissect that book like we were homeland security and the book was Ben Laden.

No, I don’t think I’ll ever get over Macho Grande

Not that insane. Planes are frequently intentionally sunk. He’s obviously free diving and with plenty of exterior light so it’s not that deep.

yeah they intentionally do this in some cases to make a manmade reef. that's why all the seats are missing, and most other environmentally hazardous fluids or equipment would have been stripped from the fuselage

Its an L-1011 or Lockheed Tristar.

Big freaking plane!

Drink service was postponed on this flight.

Unless you ordered water.

Finally got to experience first class

u/Allergenic 1d ago

Is there any context to this? Like why it’s there? What happened? That sorta stuff.

3

u/TrumpsBoneSpur 1d ago

it's actually flying. This is just what it's like when you fly through clouds.

Love that this is already making the rounds

What is it?

2

one of the most surreal things i've ever seen.

" This is captain speaking, we are gonna be little bit late "

u/TrumpsBoneSpur 1d ago

so much for seats being used as flotation devices

2

u/Ded_Panda 1d ago

Looks like an L1011. They don’t make wide bodies like they used to.

u/AdmirableRepeat7643 1d ago

At least the drinks were free.

1

u/breadwhore 1d ago

What's impressive about this is that he was able to maneuver into the seat without kicking up silt and other sediment. It's very difficult to remain neutrally buoyant under water and hover at the same depth without using swimming forward as a cheat.

That looks like weird dream

1

u/powerhammerarms 1d ago

That's how you get a ghost plane

1

u/strictly_dickly69 23h ago

I hate this so much

1

u/vaevictuskr 20h ago

It’s a L1011 Tristar. Only one of these in the world is still in flying condition. https://youtu.be/KXEeW7Ylfao?is=8HnBQeEx_gT3UqFd

Airworthy?

u/Meanravage 1d ago

Does that happen to be a malasian plane? I know some people who are looking for one

u/Prof_Awesome_GER 1d ago

The service is horrible. They don't even serve peanuts

u/MikeSizemore 45m ago

I’d die for that much legroom.
