Martha!
I love Martha but I know her story only ends badly. I’m only halfway through season 2, and since it’s an old show this is more of me leaving a comment here to come back to rather than really wanting any “oh you just wait!” responses hahaha.
She’s so cute and goofy, a really pure hearted person. I hate how ‘Clark’ is so snappy with her, though I understand why, because honestly she’s so low maintenance. Like she respects Clark’s ‘job’ and the secrecy of it all, outside of the one near slip up of disclosing him on the job application all she really wants is someone to listen to her yap and to be deserving of breakfast in bed lol.
Oh Martha!

Which his crashout was kinda valid on some level but didn't need to yell at her like that. However that romantic lazy morning ended when she got on the phone with her mom and I say that as a woman who calls her mom almost daily

I think Alison Wright is beautiful myself. I know she's English, but I have some Eastern European in me and she has the "sensual mouth" some beautiful Slavic women have. Plus she trained as a dancer and I feel like you can tell, how Martha moves so easily. But Alison looks great all dolled up! And a belated Happy 50th Birthday to her from last month!

I say the same thing every time but it's the best storyline of the entire series and Alison Wright is fucking amazing .I dont know why she's not a huge star.
I'm listening to the podcast right now and she's on a few different times. Just love her.

Not saying much because you're mid-series but that detail of Clark being snappy with her is so shitty and true to life.
Everything she's asking for is a reasonable expectation for someone in a loving marriage, and it does feel like part of Philip's resentment comes not only from the fact he's having to perform the role of a loving husband to his unwitting agent, but because he knows her expectations are reasonable and the fact he has to manipulate her away from those desires reminds him of how awful what he's doing to her is.

It's 6 great seasons of storytelling. Like a spy novel made real. Keep watching and you'll be rewarded.

I love Martha and her Kama Sutra with the folded pages. I won’t spoil but my head cannon says she gets a happy ending past the end of the series.

I do wonder if Martha could cause a rift between Philip and Elizabeth. It’s going to be so hard for them having given up their children and Martha will be there with her new adoptee. Or they could become a thruple?

But I agree with the other poster. Can't see how she'd cause any rift there.

It's the storyline that probably hurts the most for me. Just yelling at the screen not to do this, or do that instead. She really is lovely
