Another possibility that hasn’t been talked about much, but what if Scar Jo is actually the daughter of the reporter Edward Elliot? She could play a combo of a Vicki Vale reporter/ Hush character in the sequel, and maybe she gets close to Bruce and leaks stuff or feeds info to the court that slowly ruins him over the course of the movie?

Let m talk to ya! Man bat could be a villian that exists in people Batman’s head caused by all the chaos and lack of sleep. He becomes Man-bat to general public by resembling more like an actual creature, rather than the vigilante that became a symbol of hope for the citizens of Gotham

Trying to work out the importance of a Gotham bus timetable in The Batman Part II but maybe I’m over thinking it all.

Maybe they just want to make as many details as possible when they shot it in Glasgow. It looks like that the scenes must be finished in the city. Had a look this morning but I couldn’t see any vehicles although the bus timetable tables were still there and the Gotham Fork still had signs on its windows.

On that point I’m not sure if they used the interior for shooting or it was just the exterior that will be in the film.

On the matter of vehicles someone was saying that a lot of the cars belonged to people who hired them to the film makers.

Not just Bruce/Batman and potentially Harvey Dent either. With the possibility of an impostor villain taking on different identities throughout the movie, Pattinson could literally play the impostor as Bruce/Batman while Stan plays him whenever he’s posing as Harvey.

So we could watch either of them do something and not realize until later that it wasn’t actually them. It would make the whole many roles idea pretty interesting if that ends up meaning more than we think, and also explain some of the secrecy around the villain and everyone’s roles.

Could be completely wrong of course, but with how much Reeves is protecting the mystery, I could see something like this happening.

I don’t think it’s the court of owls, I think it’s a red hood gang storyline which involves corruption in the police force

For those who don’t know this comic storyline:

The original Red Hood was the leader of the Red Hood Gang before he became the Joker

During a robbery at Ace Chemicals, Batman chased him and he fell into a vat of chemicals. He survived but the chemicals bleached his skin, turned his hair green and helped push him into becoming the Joker

After the original Red Hood disappeared(joker), Matthew McLeod took over the gang and eventually became a police commissioner in Gotham

McLeod was secretly corrupt and was still connected to the Red Hood Gang while serving as commissioner. He used his position in the police to protect the gang and control crime in Gotham, he snuck in corrupted officers into the force and did it really subtly over the years,

Which perfectly explains the corrupt officers too, maybe Gordon gets fired, demoted quits or dies who knows but Matthew McLeod ends up taking over as commissioner and yeah

It makes sense too because this is early in Batman’s career, and it is also early in jokers career the deleted leaked end credit scene we saw in the batman could be like a year after joker got put in there for leading the red hood gang so this actually makes sense and it sets up the joker without actually having the joker in it so matt reaves saying the villian hasn’t appeared in a live action yet would technically still remain true

I recall at the end of the credits they flashed the said website and got into it. Just like in the movie, takes you into a Riddler’s domain. You’re greeted and basically, you are given some riddles, and it’s like you’re communicating with The Riddler, like you’re part of the universe. Much like he has an “online”following in the movie. So the riddles are dynamic, and answer correctly you get rewarded with cryptic diary pages, GCPD evidence photos, and coded messages.

I recall when the website was taken down by the ‘GCPD’. But I hope the Marketing Team behind the movie do another form of of guerrilla marketing where they get audience involved in the universe of the movie. T’was fun! Here are some of the images contained in the zipped file.

right before the Batmobile is revealed, Batman is still laying motionless on the ground. The Penguin is already standing right next to him and checking around the car when suddenly, we hear the Batmobile's motors.

My question is: How the heck did he get to his car so suddenly?? We never see him leave the ground or enter Batmobile, and surely the Penguin would've been alerted if Batman got up right next to him in a 2 inch deep layer of rainwater.

(Side question: do we know why the motor engine stalls at first? it feels necessary, but i never got the reason for it)

If we were judging this movie for it's cinematography and acting alone, it would be a masterpiece. The shots were magnificent, and a blowout performance from Pattison. But there are so much that bothered me with the script and plot.

I understand the entire city being corrupt, but the Batman, as a fighter against crime, not even once checking whether the Wayne Fund was going for the best of the city, or even Alfred, or the Wayne families trusted associates, does not make sense whatsoever. There is also the point that even if Thomas Wayne had a corrupt reporter silenced, that doesn't change the fact of his lifetime of welfare work, but of course, conveniently, the entire city was already in Falcone's hand and all the money goes to him. We even find out he didn't even kill him on purpose. The mystery basically being, police and city is still corrupt and drug business is going strong, and it's all the Wayne son's fault since Falcone controls the Wayne foundation's funding, was just way too weak for me.

A good mystery for me; and more than 2/3rd of this movie was the mystery of "why" Riddler is doing all this, was too weak, which in turn made the movie weak because of it. The payoff, the truth of the why, was too contrived, and didn't make sense. Although a superhero movie doesn't have to have an amazing plot to be good; as shown here because the spectacle was amazing! The plot, and reason behind everything didn't feel real, even for Gotham. Only reason I stuck around till the end was that it was an amazingly shot movie.

I'd love to hear y'all's thoughts on these points. And I'd love if you didn't downvote me into oblivion for not loving all of the movie, since I kind of wanted to get a discussion going, and if nobody sees the post, I can't even hear your counter arguments.

But to be fair, some of the shots are going to stay with me. The machinegun fire lighting up that hallway in bursts, and the highway chase with the Penguin...

What makes you think he’ll do justice in presenting a character as complex as Batman, which is unlike any other CBM character he has handled before that were mostly on the comedic and goofy side such as Starlord, Drax, Mantis, Polka-Dot Man, Peacemaker, Vigilante, Superman, Guy Gardener, Mr. Terrific and Hawkgirl?
