All Show & Book Spoilers Discussed Freely Intro sequence Spoiler
A silly post, but! Am I the only one who never skips the intro sequence in the show, it's just so good. It really encapsulates the scope, the scale and the ambition of the story. The score is amazing and the visuals match.

Nope not at all. I learnt to not skip it early on, the intro sequences have a lot of foreshadowing/ history telling, especially in the later seasons. I think every sequence changed both subtly and in bigger ways during every season 5 episode as an example.
Plus the score 🔥

Of all the theme tunes in the world, this is the best one. Grand. Sweeping. Dramatic. Mournful. Has you feeling emotional before the show has even started. When I first got Prime, it insisted on skipping to the next ep after only a couple of seconds. But I love the closing credits just as much, & had to bury very deep into the settings to turn it off, purely because both theme tunes are excellent!

One of the few shows I'm happy to let the opening credits play on when I rebinge. I do sometimes skip them if I'm really into it and just want to get to story. But I usually let them play.

Love it, never skip it. It was very well done but for one thing, the tiny writing that my old eyes cannot read (I can't even believe anyone's can!). I accepted that, though.

Even in 4K the writing is tiny, but at least legible if you get close enough.

When I was first watching the show I thought the credit text was identifying the landmarks shown. So for pretty much the whole first season I thought that bit with the glacier and the iceberg was called the Steven Strait. :(

YEAH Sometimes I don’t skip it for the sole reason that the music will really take me to a chill place mentally.

I also never skip the opening sequence. Not only is it epic, it also has subtle hints about what's to come - and as others have said it changes to reflect the program, especially in later seasons.
I also don't skip the end credits, because I usually find I need that time to recover and reflect, and the music again is epic.

It's the only show intro I don't skip.
It does such a good job of setting the tone for the show.

one of the most beautiful opening theme songs ever made. I never skip it. it just feels exactly like what the expanse should be

I was visiting my mom at her house, and started to show her The Expanse. She skipped the intro, and I said, “NO; you have to WATCH it!!”
I always watch a show’s intro at least once to get the vibe; after that, unless it’s interesting I’ll skip it. The Expanse, I watch it every time.

Die Serie kenne ich bisher nur aus dem TV. Da wurden viele Intros gnadenlos gekürzt und Abspann war Fehlanzeige. Das macht mich traurig.

How do I force the intro to be shown? Amazon skips it for me each time unfortunately. I love the score and want to listen to it each time.

Something that Expanse fans appreciate is that it subtly changes from season to season to reflect developments in the plot and setting.
Other shows, I skip the intro after having watched it a couple of times, but not The Expanse.
