Reactors being "more perceptive"

With that out of the way, hi!

I dont know how many of you are into reaction videos, but I love them and recently I've noticed something.

A while ago (until last year), most reactors were completely blindsided by the twist. They would have some questions throughout season 1, but never go too deep into them.

But lately, a new batch of reactors has started the show and.... most of them seem to have caught on to the fact that something is off. None of them has theorized that this is the Bad Place (yet), but they have different theories as to what is going on instead ("this is not the Good Place as it was presented")

Has anyone else noticed this? Or am I imagining things? Do you think there's a reason for that to be happening? (I don't think they know the twist and are pretending they don't)

I've watched a handful of reactions to this show and can't say I've noticed a shift. The show's also just been out for longer now, and as good as people are about not spoiling things, I think the general idea that there's something to be spoiled could be coloring their viewing experience.

Oh yeah that does make sense. People are still pretty good at keeping the twist secret but they do leave a bunch of comments like "ohhhh almost there" "nobody say anything" etc etc

I've seen the cast in different interviews talking about "the twist" so maybe that's why. I think they've been pretty great about not directly spoiling it even all these years later, but it's definitely known there's something.

Probably people who have heard how unpredictable the show is, or how good the twists are so they already go into the show expecting that things are not as they seem.

I think it’s pretty common knowledge now that there’s a twist, even if they don’t know what the twist is. People go in to it with prior knowledge and then pretend not to know anything for views.

I would say a lot of reactors went through the arcane and attack on titan popularity wave and have since learned they cannot just relax lmfao

There are quite a few reactors that watch the show before then 'react' to it to an audience. You can always tell because they will say the most obvious things right before someone happens. You can notice it in some music reactions too.
