The OG show and even the first season of The Next Chapter had a more cohesive, serial format (in other words there was a broader story arc being told across the episodes). Each season built upon the movies and the last seasons in an additive fashion. Even season 1 of The Next Chapter was structured this way to build upon itself.

As I understood it this season would feature Merlin, and would tie him into Camelot which ties into the archaic librarians and the older seasons. Most of this season, however, has been a series of episodic content (ie standalone episodes) that doesn't push forward a larger narrative. This bummed me out. It feels jarringly unrelated to the larger librarians universe.

Does anyone also feel this way, or am I off base? If this series/universe continues, will it continue to be disjointed like this, or will they go back to a more serial and cohesive story?

I have been enjoying this show since the original movies. I was wondering if there was a podcast that discusses the episodes.

Hey everyone! As part of our commitment to keeping this subreddit transparent and open, we want to share a quick look at the automated tools we use to keep our community safe, clean, and welcoming.

We use a few specific helper bots that run quietly in the background to handle the heavy lifting. Here is exactly what they do and why we have them:

1. AutoModerator (Our Community Guardian & Entertainer)

What it does: This is Reddit's built-in helper. It scans new posts and comments the exact second they are submitted to make sure they follow our community guidelines.

Why we use it: It acts as our first line of defence so the front page stays clean and safe. Specifically, it helps us enforce a few key areas.

• It runs basic background checks: We have safety protocols in place to stop malicious burner accounts from raiding the sub. We don't publish the exact parameters (gotta keep the bad actors guessing!), but legitimate community members pass through easily.
• It deploys fun easter eggs: We have programmed AutoMod to jump into the comments with custom responses when you type certain phrases. Try mentioning your favorite characters or quotes to see what it triggers!

1. Bot Bouncer (Our Spam Blocker)

What it does: This tool specifically looks out for automated "bot" accounts, malicious spammers, and coordinated scams.

Why we use it: Real human discussions are what make this community great. Bot Bouncer works quietly to stop fake accounts and advertising networks from flooding our comment sections before they can ruin the conversation.

1. Admin Tattler (Our Record Keeper)

• What it does: If a paid, official Reddit employee (an Admin) steps in to remove a severe rule-breaking post, it normally just disappears without telling us why. This tool sends our volunteer mod team a private note whenever that happens.
• Why we use it: It gives us the context we need to spot dangerous bad actors. Knowing what Reddit's global safety team is removing helps us make fairer, more informed decisions for our local community.

A Quick Note on Fairness

None of these tools "think" on their own or make emotional decisions. They follow strict, specific rules that we set. Furthermore, human eyes always have the final say. If a helper bot ever makes a mistake and removes a legitimate post, our volunteer team reviews it and hooks it right back up.

Our goal is simply to keep this a safe, fun, and high-quality space for real people to connect.

You've probably noticed a ton of changes around, including a bunch of new resources, like a link to the Librarians Comic Books wiki (did you know there were comic books?!? I didn't!), to Dean Devlin's social media, to TNT's official Librarians page, the Goodreads page for Greg Cox who wrote the 3 Librarians tie-in books, the fandom wiki and the official wiki.

I've also added a Sister Subreddit, so if you see any r/leverage members around, make them welcome!

I've updated the rules, added some really cool and nerdy Librarians automations - the first person to trigger certain automations gets a special Flair! I've added a sidebar gallery "Dorian's Gallery" and made Jenkins our sub Icon. I *learned Python* so I could ensure this sub stays a safe and welcoming place and spent 50 hours handwriting code.

In all that, I missed some stuff. I missed stickying a couple episode discussion posts and I missed adding a Spoiler flair to a couple of posts as well. Super sorry about that, LiTs, truly.

PLEASE feel free to tag me or send a modmail if I missed something. Please remember I am brand new at all of this, all of it, and doing my absolute best. I will miss things and I will make mistakes. I *still* can't get the Banner image right! lmao!

It doesn't help that our American fans are seeing episodes a *month* before I can. You all are on like episode 9 when ep 5 JUST dropped here. I need the members to be proactive in tagging their own spoilers and reaching out to me to pin a post if I miss it in the crush.

I swear I’ve heard the voice before but I can’t place it!

One of the funniest moments in the original series was Stone nearly giddy over Chupacabra jerky and a horrified Cassandra thinking the jerky was made of Chupacabra and not made by the Chupacabra. Food and drink don't appear often in the series but when it does, it sure looks tasty!

Speaking of tasty - what are your favourite recipes to whip up? Are you a soup and sandwiches person or a 3 course meal person? Something light? Something decadent? Share some of your favourite recipes - or maybe get an idea for supper!

The airing schedule is odd, and it feels like they would have announced a season 3 by now. Am I worrying too much?
