So I might've gone a little overboard thinking of my Magtober prompts 😆 I started this as a prompt list for myself since I don't have enough energy for a full 30 days. Then I realized there's 4.5 weeks in October, which falls fairly nicely into the 5 seasons of TMA!

If you too want a low-stress version of inktober (only minimum 5 pieces of art or writing, but you can do more prompts if you want), feel free to use this and I'll try to share your stuff on my socials! I'm gonna use #WeeklyMagtober to distinguish it from other Magtobers prompt lists that will hopefully also pop up. The more MAG the better!

Also, don't forget that Asexual Awareness Week is October 19-25. (My headcanon for Jon's birthday is October 23, so I'll definitely be making something ace-themed for him as a treat!)

This is a print/poster I SWEAR I saved on Etsy a while ago, but now I really can’t find it anywhere. Maybe I’m not looking up the right things, but I‘ve otherwise given up hope so fingers crossed one of you guys has seen it too 💀

The outside tape recorder bits were black iirc, but I feel like the other colours may have been retro-ish, like various type of orange (but im not 100% sure or anything). im pretty sure the slimey layer was green though.

otherwise i think it was quite similar to my (admittedly rather rushed) drawing in that the recorder was sort of split into layers (like a burger in those ads where all the components are hung up with fishing wire) and it was at a 3/4 angle.

i will genuinely be SO grateful to anybody who can help me track this thing down because it was so cool!

For background I loved TMA and was hyped to try TMP.

I made it through season 1 and when season 2 came back I had zero interest for three reasons.

1. The audio. They took immersion so far to the point those CCTV break room conversaitions I could understand maybe every other word. I get they’re immersive but sometimes you need to fake it and pretend there re magic hot mics so I can understand what’s actually happening. I shouldn’t have to read along to understand an auditory medium

2. Alice. I genuinely hated her by the end because she’s the type of rage-baiting needling coworker that makes me dread coming to work to the point I was sympathizing with Gwen because of the sheer amount of bullying she does to her.

3. The stories. They became such an afterthought, and as much as I enjoy the narrative I came to TMA/TMP for the horror anthology. That’s part of the joy and when the stories sometimes literally are just playing in the background with almost no narrative connection it just feels bad.

BUT BUT BUT

I Want to keep listening. Like I said I love Tma. I just introduced my gf to the series. She’s hyped. I’m hyped. I’d love to keep listening and keep theorizing, but those three things are really holding it back.

So without spoilers, have any of these three things gotten better in later seasons? I’m really hoping so, cause after I finish old gods, I’m hoping to come back to this!

Just wondering if anyone knows if I'll need to listen to the Protocol before I listen to the Leitner audiobook. I'm assuming not, but just want to make sure just in case.

I just started listening recently, almost done with season one, but i saw on a website i use for transcripts that there are a lot of episodes marked as unofficial. Are these necessary to listen to to get the full story? Or are they just like standalone stories?

I started the Magnus Archives a few months ago (up to MAG 185) and have just started making an income, as a high school student. I want to know whether I should subscribe because I really liked the fluff episode that was free and Martin’s poetry is fun. I also like the idea of supporting this beautiful project.
Is the stuff that’s there, and other benefits worth the money? Also, whats the best level to subscribe to?
