I have a TCA encore pistol frame being shipped to a LGS, but did not do any research on the platform (aside from the scant info on TCA’s website). I was going to build a 15” 223 pistol, but figured I would at least ask y’all if the Contender line was compatible before ordering a barrel. Can the Prohunter pistol frame accept the contender (G1/2) barrels so long as you pair them with the corresponding contender forend?

Posted about this I’d say about a month ago, but I just went and picked it up off layaway got this bundle for 1000$ seems like it’s barely been shot mostly gonna be shooting 41 mag from it target/hunting but 223 and 45 long colt will probably fun too mess around with and if I hate myself, I’ll buy some 7mm for it 😂

I have a Thompson Center .45 / 410 barrel with a vent rib. The front screw on the vent rib is missing. What size screw do I use? Pretty sure it's 6-48 but what head style and length?

Completely new to the platform. I want to buy a rifle action with the goal of making it an SBR and swapping on the pistol barrels. What model should I be looking at? Thanks

Went into my local gun shop and saw this absolute peach they’re asking 1200. I ask the guy he said he would do 1000 I have it on invoice until next week strongly considering buying it but I’m not 100% certain I currently use a 6 inch Ruger Blackhawk to hunt and this would most likely replace that the gun is in phenomenal shape. It’s gorgeous, but I’m just not certain.

New to the Contender, looking for more caliber options over the .223 that came with it, but not looking to spend the price of full firearm for a single barrel.

What are my options? Anything to lookout for if/when buying used?

Has anyone DIY / self done a trigger job on their encore and care to share what all they did?
I have done multiple 10/22s and always liked slicking up the interfaces to get a crisp trigger pull. But I had an instructional on that before I started. I would like to do a couple of my encores if I knew that it was do-able first.

Got a good deal on a contender with 7TCU, 22 hornet, 357mag and a second TCU barrel.

Found these guys on Amazon and the bolt thread size was a perfect match for the installed threads in the grip and forend. I just had to enlarge the hole in the rubber a tad for the bases to fit it.

22LR. What’s too short that would make opening and closing difficult with a suppressor on?

Never seen such a thing myself. Thought one of yall might know considering it's on a TC barrel. The curiosity is killing me. I'm not havin luck with image searches. Thanks.

Switched some optics around and installed a new UTG Pistol scope on the 45-70 barrel. So now the 30-30 is scoped and the .223 10” and the .357 mag 10” have green dots the 17 HMR needs a base yet and then it will get a dot most likely. The .22 LR has a 3-9x40 on it.

Did some deep searching and got a deal on 3 new UTG pistol scopes. $475.00 for three shipped. These are 2-7 x 32 with green or red full lighted reticles. Reviews all across the web seem to be pretty solid for the bigger calibers so I’m gonna give em’ a try. One on My Encore .500 mag and .460 mag and the other not pictured on my Contender 45-70. Got em’ bore sighted in for now and in a couple of weeks I’ll get them out and dialed in.

Why would Thompson thread the 500 Smith & Wesson for 11/16x24? I can't seem to find any muzzle devices in that thread pattern for that bore size. I have a Bowers vers 50 suppressor that I can use, but no muzzle brakes will fit with that bore size.

Was looking around the local gun shop today and came across a whole stash of Weaver scope mounts for Contender/Encore barrels. $11.99 each, I grabbed 3. I got home and pulled out my 3 contender barrels that had iron sights on them. My 30-30 barrel sights were cobbled together shit. So now my .357, 30-30, and my 17 HMR barrels all optics mounts. The .357 and the 30-30 also got dots mounted up. Need to grab one more for my 17 and all is good.

Anyone have any good recommendations for a scope that would be both good and cost effective for my Encore S&W .500 Mag barrel? It came with a $70 Barska on it which is pretty useless. I’m looking for something that will work out to 100 to 150 yards with the ammo’s max at 200 yards. I tossed a green to on it for now with a 6 mil dot which works out for 50 yards or less.

Two hours of beautiful driving and it’s home. This was a stellar deal! All 15” barrels. Ported SS .500 S&W, .460 S&W tapered blue barrel and a .308 tapered blue barrel. Scopes are an old Tasco Pro Class 4x30, Nikon FXr 2.5x8, and a cheap little BSA 2x20. Pachmayer pistol grip set. Also included but not shown is an OEM rifle buttstock and a fire grip and about 20 rounds of .500 ammo. Case was also included. Pretty good deal for $1000.00.

I’ll see what the optic do or don’t do and go from there.
