I started playing League around 2009 and immediately mained Support, mostly Leona at that time. When Thresh released in 2013 I tried him the first day and it was love at first sight. From that day I played only Thresh (screw matchups, if he wasn't banned I picked Thresh) until summer 2016 when I quit playing due to life stuff. I got to Diamond 3 or 4 at that time.

A couple of weeks ago I got the LoL itch back again and downloaded the game. It was daunting at first, it was almost like playing a completely new game from scratch: new map, new objectives, new/reworked items, role quests, dozens of new champions released and many of the old ones reworked, etc. But then I picked our favorite boy: unchanged, his kit still as perfect as I remembered.

I was put in Bronze at first and I'm now in Gold 1 with a 75% winrate. Unlike 10 years ago I can play few games per day due to adult life, but man I would have never thought I would have so much fun with League again (especially because its reputation of being a toxic game got only worse from what I heard), I especially like that games are quite faster now (I was used to an average of 45 minutes per game).

When Thresh is banned/picked by enemy team I'm really enjoying Rell, she gives me Leona vibes but with a bit more versatility.

I was the joke of the friend group when we would hop on league cause i would barely crack 10k damage a game average was 5k at best but I was still having fun. I understood Thresh was a difficult champ to pick up but the instant I played him it all just clicked for me. His kit really feels right to me and the only other character i could even be helpful on was Shen. My first two games on thresh were 12/5/42 and 9/6/36 almost around 40k damage a game. Can anyone explain to me why I find such a difficult champion so easy?

all game i KNEW this malphite hated me so i tried for the bait and it worked first try im dead

Problem is i mostly go for roams etc to effect the game but in lower elos my adc's almost always dir the moment i leave the lane

at bronze elo my wr at thresh stays at %41 while my wr at gold+ is 56 as thresh

Reverse for zilean tho i carry hard and on a 12 win streak on bronze elo but i cant carry as well in the gold acc

(I sometimes play boost in my friends acc becouse even though we play together since i play better i get placed at higher elo than him and i cant play together w him afterwards)

I had a discussion with my friend about building more expensive items on thresh support, like kaenic. I always build the default boots of swiftness first(unless i magical boots) locket, solstice. Knights vow, if my adc is 0/10 i abandon hope and instead i build either frozen heart, kaenic, force of nature, bramblevest(which i later build into thornmail), depending on the situation. Then i build protoplasm. And for the last item i take protean or any 4th item option.

Back after 2 seasons of not playing norms and I thought I'd hop on ranked and remind everyone Thresh adc is a thing. Despite starting 40cs down in lane phase, I ended up going 15/0 against a fairly competent Jinx.

That damage from flay passive is a high I cannot find anywhere else
