Met a few people over the years who told me they saw one and swore they did back in the day. One guy told me that in the 90s in his backyard in Tasmania he saw a thylacine in broad daylight - stripes etc but he was a teen and didn't really tell anyone.

Very interesting is the story of Tasmania where two cars cross and all passengers in both cars report seeing a thylacine. They didn't know each other and the details were to the T. Very interesting

The Charleville footage is very compelling, ive gotten to witness it only twice and thought it was scrubbed off the internet, the original poster made the video private and you seemingly cant find it anywhere else. Pretty much all images of it are scrubbed as well. However not only did i manage to keep a few stills of the footage for myself and made a little analysis for it, but ive happened upon the actual clip. The animal appears to be too robust to be a fox or dingo, it has a very large head and a stiff tail. And its posture is marsupial-like. The reason its called the charleville lion is because viewers who saw the footage thought it was a lioness due to how thick and robust the animal is. The lioness theory doesnt fit though as the footage was taken in queensland australia. To this day its still arguably the best evidence of large predatory marsupials living past their expiration date.

Theres a video where he goes down the entire trackway and the predator these tracks come from are certainly massive and they do not appear to be canine tracks. They bare a remarkable resemblance to this published thylacine paw diagram.

Im assuming there were still around 100 or so thylacines left after Benjamin died. Im sure that wasn't the last one. There had to be a small population out there. Even then there were no dead ones that were recovered. Why is this? There have been so many unconfirmed sightings yet no evidence like a dead thylacine or scat in the wild.

Is there something that we don't understand about the thylacine like if it had unusual behaviour while dying like maybe finding a burrow to die? Or something like that? There was one found in the cave in Western Australia but they said that it was a mummy from 4000 years ago. It looked recent to my eyes

taken between 1932 and 1934, found by Logan Cooteb in New Zealand. I havent seen many others talk about this, please correct me if this turns out to be fake TwT

What do you find the most compelling?

So about 2 or 3 years ago I posted about seeing a thylacine but deleted it. So here goes again round 2. It was about 2012 and I was on my way to my 5 am shift at Dunkin’ Donuts. As I turned the corner on green street underneath the street light I saw a large dog - like animal running towards the general vicinity of esker park. As I saw it running it had a hunkered down run and on its back it had stripes horizontal on the rear of its body. I immediately rubbed my eyes and knew that this was no animal I had ever seen before. I quickly searched for animals with horizontal stripes on their back and came across thylacine. I have never seen one since. Years went by before I decided to do some research and there is stories of a boat possibly carrying thylacines that capsized off of the Atlantic in the northeast. Great esker park is a large park that has water and remote areas that also borders wompatuck state park. If anyone else has seen one of these in this area let’s hear your story.

OK, I keep hearing that there has been an EDNA test conducted not only on Tasmania, but on mainland, Australia, and even New Guinea as well. All three of them came up negative (at least that’s what I’ve heard). However, I can’t seem to find anything on any of them.

Does anybody know of an EDNA test?

I thought everyone would like to be aware of the AI thylacine pics showing up that look reasonably good, yet a bit too perfect. I am familiar is the known photos in circulation. These aren't legit.

The pics are posted on ebay by Wazz, out of Great Britain. What makes it worse is that there are some historic photos offered by this seller, but there is no indication of which are AI and which are genuine.

I am planning on contacting the seller to ask if AI photos can please be labeled as such. I invite everyone else to consider doing the same, just keep it polite (please).

I'm developing a story about a thylacine that scientists bring back to life. After escaping from a laboratory, he ends up in a circus and is later adopted by people who mistake him for a dog. The story is inspired by Bolt, Kimba the White Lion, and Lilo & Stitch.

it's fascinating how the thylacine, or Tasmanian tiger, has captured the imagination of so many people, even decades after its extinction. these unique marsupials had such an intriguing mix of traits, resembling a cross between a dog and a cat with their striped back and long, slender body. recent studies have sparked discussions about the possibility of de-extinction and what that would mean for ecosystems today. imagining these creatures roaming the wild again raises so many questions about conservation and biodiversity. has anyone read recent research on thylacine DNA or efforts underway to possibly bring them back? would love to hear your thoughts!

I call my dog my little thylacine when he yawns. When we're out and about, people usually guess that he's a tiger and I'm happy to talk to them about the tazzy tiger.

(And since I know dye is controversial: This is my pet, and I use pet safe dye while monitoring him, and he gets lots of treats and love. He loves the attention.)
